Do they make a version of this that sounds like the low battery indicator on a smoke detector? That would be hours of fun.

I bet you could remove the guts from a real smoke detector, stick a low-level battery in it, and cram it someplace hidden to drive whoever that special person is bonkers as it goes off all day long. ha ha

Wait, isn't "bugging" illegal in most places including the workplace? ??

Of course it varies from state to state.

It's possible that his employees are running their yaps and it's not any kind of surveillance. I'd recommend watching what he says and who hes says it too. Also, try and ID who the office blabber mouths are. There are a couple of folks I work with that I wouldn't say a word too as they've proven that they will tell everyone. A way of finding the leak is to tell different individuals the same thing with a variation in colorful details and see which details emerge on the grape vine. Small details might not make it into the retelling, but a juicy element will. He should also keep an eye on who associates with who.

A question, how does your guy know what's being talked about in the other offices?

Another question, does your guy send email summaries or reports of the conversations anywhere?

I spent far too many years shooting inside casinos and in meetings with mid to high level management and it was pretty much known that there were ears everywhere in fact, I know a couple of GM's with large tribal joints who actually have their offices swept on a pretty regular basis

I highly doubt the place is "bugged".

Many people in office setting are nosy busybodies, that's all.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Loud talkers, thin walls, and loose lipped co-workers.
