Unless you have been living under a rock you have probably heard of these two young men. I think when it comes to right leaning politics and the younger generation these two individuals are incredibly important. Ben Shapiro is like a computer. He is able to destroy leftist arguments with precision and speed. I'm VERY glad he is on our side. I may not always agree with him but I think he is fighting the good fight. Milo Yiannopoulos....where do I begin. The man has elevated trolling to a high art form. BUT, like a truffle sniffing pig he is able to root out the insanity of the left and put it on full display. Both Ben and Milo are shining a light on conservative and libertarian politics for the younger generation. Ben's arguments are hard to dismantle and Milo has managed to weaponize humor and use it as a sledgehammer against leftist insanity. Ben's speech at UC Bezerkley went a bit smoother than I expected. Milo has invited Steven K. Bannon to join him during his upcoming free speech event at UC Bezerkley. I have a feeling it might be a little more wild than Ben's recent event. Per the UCB Chancellor, you must have a contract to use the UCB facilities and Milo does not yet have a contract. I suspect he won't get one. Which may be his strategy to attack them via the courts. They are effective which is why they must be destroyed. Milo is low hanging fruit but bears the thorns of breaching pc dogma if attacked. His sexual preferences are a shield. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

Milo also has Ann Coulter, Pamela Geller, and David Horowitz scheduled to show up. We'll see if he can pull this off. One thing I have learned is to not underestimate Milo. He and Bannon are VERY smart men. If their event gets shut down they have excited their base and shown the leftist admins at UC Bezerkley to be the true people who are anti liberty and anti free speech. The potential headline alone is delicious. Sig2340, you might be right about them knowing the event will get shut down and fighting in the courts. Another thing to consider is that Bannon has the ear of the President. If you want to combat leftist schools and attempt to end their federal funding I think what Milo and Bannon are doing could have the potential to move the needle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

I used to be a Milo fan, but he's gone too far over the top for me to enjoy anymore. As far as I can tell, he's only interested in preaching to the choir to grow his audience. That's a shame, because he's very knowledgable, articulate, and quick on his feet. Ben actually reaches young minds who are on the fence/not yet deeply entrenched in their liberal/leftist views because he challenges their beliefs and doesn't by default insult them. He can certainly embarrass people when he wants to, but he also sees the value of being tactful.

rusbro, Too far over the top? When wasn't he that way? It's why I like him. I'll never forget the first Breitbart article I read by Milo, my jaw dropped. It is possible to be a fan of both Ben and Milo, yes they have two completely different styles but when you think about it they have the same goal. Combating leftists monopoly on college campuses. If you had been attacked by the left and right as Milo was and they attempted to destroy you would you tone it down? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

I don't think Milo dislikes Ben. He just likes to troll him like anyone else. I saw a video where Milo was asked who on the left he considered to be a worthy apologist for their side. He said the left has no one the likes of a Ben Shapiro. Milo respects Ben, he just likes to get under everyone's skin. Year V

Posted by Rusbro,
Yes, but when the chips are down who is more of an asset to conservatives, someone who stuck by Trump and was loyal or someone who used their platform to attack Trump and divide the party? For all his smarts Ben Shapiro completely fucked up his analysis of the 2016 electiorate. In a way his behavior was indicictative of the main issue with the GOP. Too many want to take their ball and go home when their goldilocks candidate drops from the running. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

I don't think they hate each other either. From an article I read last year, it could be that both are just being "competitive", since they are both vying for the same dollar, bandwidth, media coverage, and audience. It doesn't help that Shapiro (who I very much respect) is/was anti-Trump, and Milo was one of Trump's biggest boosters. Different approaches towards similar goals. Ben did not support Trump or Hillary for President, but living in California, his vote didn't matter anyway. Now, he praises good things Trump does and condemns bad stuff Trump does. I thought Milo was funny at first, but I grew tired of him quickly when he started calling Trump "daddy", and came to despise him when I found out that he had spoken out in support of pedophilia. Milo also posted a pic of Ben's child in a concentration camp-style oven. Phone's ringing, Dude.

AUTiger89, Ben's vote may not have mattered but his platform and the fact that he has a large audience did. He could have set aside differences to ensure Hillary lost but he did what Republicans do best and acted like a punk bitch and did nothing to help defeat Hillary. Milo has said he only calls Trunp "daddy" because it annoys leftists. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Hehe, hehe. I see what you did there. Seriously, I love both of them. I haven't heard a lot from Ben Shapiro but I am impressed with how quick and how fast he thinks on his feet. Maybe he's got all the answers locked down beforehand but that's still a lot of memory. I like Milo. His only shortcoming is he's white. But, at least, he has a black boyfriend. I see them as battling on two related but different fronts. Ben Shapiro is savaging the liberal front. And no one could manufacture/nurture the perfect anti-PC weapon than Milo who is armored with the very PC attributes that PC people have devoted to protect and revere. Milo shows the illogic of the PC people with their support of Islam whose adherents throw gays off buildings and treats women as chattel, gun control which restricts the aiblitys of law abiding minorities to protect themselves, etc. On the other hand, Ben showcases the superiority of the conservative logic over liberal reasoning. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual."
