I grew up eating antelope, so either they aren't that hard to harvest or Father and Mother were better hunters than I gave them credit for being. In fact, I'd hazard a guess that was the only meat I ate until I was three.
As for the shot, 1/70 is the realm of random chance. Even a roulette wheel is 1:33 odds.
