If anyone has to have one done, opt for the nitrous on top of the injection. It's worth it.

To Do What is Right and Just |
Thanks to my top front teeth being all but rebuilt I've had to have 3 so far (injury from awhile ago). The only one I had pain with was extreme cold sensitivity prior to getting it done (how I knew it needed done). Other than that, some minor soreness afterwards for them all (the more extreme sensitive one I did take some of the prescribed pain killers). But just normally alieve to help with any minor swelling from incisions and some sleep then good as new. People tend to associate root canals with pain cause of the pain you have prior. Essentially it's a filling that takes longer, costs more, and kills the nerve. Also, I get loaded with novacaine. Whether it's a tolerance, or just poor luck, they have to stick me multiple times till I feel nothing.

I had a root canal with absolutely zero issues. Dentist put a little wedge in my mouth so my jaw didn't even get tired. He used novocain and I never felt an ounce of pain. There was vibrations from one of his tools that kind of rattled your brain but no pain. Once the novocain wore off I felt 100%. Didnt even need an advil.

Vote the BASTIDS OUT! |
Back around 1960 I broke my two front teeth. The root canal was torture. It felt like the hack dentist was into my eye socket picking away. The pain was unbelievable. I swore, never again. Maybe the guy was really bad and I should reconsider this type of work being done, after reading all the positive posts. John "Building a wall will violate the rights of millions of illegals."
