We have 4 ducks at the moment, we are getting 3 eggs a day and I think I want to get rid of (eat) the male duck to save on feeding. My wife read that ducks can change sexes and if this true I don't want to eliminate a male just to get another added. I think it sounds crazy but she isn't one to believe anything. David W. A little more Google lead to an article explaining that this transition would be due to the loss of an ovarie from injury, disease, etc which would halt the production of female hormones which results in the expression of male characteristics.
