Ikea sells the 'Vardagen' that is a baking dish.

Hmmm, I am unaware of any rule that frittata needs to be baked… that sounds like a quiche

The Italian word frittata derives from friggere and roughly means "fried".

I’m old school. Omelette is scrambled eggs, fried and folded with stuff loaded inside. Basically a “burrito” if you will with the eggs taking place of a tortilla.

Frittata is scrambled eggs with the stuff scrambled in with the raw eggs, then fried together.

Eggs and stuff in a pie crust and baked is a quiche.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I went to making hash brown omelettes a couple years ago. Easy to make and delicious with that hash brown crunch on the outside and the creamy eggs sausage, peppers, onions and cheese on the inside. No special omelette pan required and works great on the griddle too.

We do Breakfast for Dinner usually once a week and more times than not it's omelets. I used to fight a heavy, well seasoned cast iron pan and although it did a great job, there was always clean up work. Went through a few cheap-o non stick pans which worked but heat distribution was an issue with these. Sprung for the Toughened Nonstick PRO Fry Pan from Le Creuset. About $100. Great pan. Fairly durable if you reframe from using meat utensils and don't crank the heat up to high while empty and dry. It gives even heat and easy clean up.

I just made a three egg, bacon and cheese omelette for one of my granddaughters. I'm not picky about my pans, i would rather spend my money elsewhere. Like firearms.

I share a somewhat similar opinion. I'd also rather spend my money elsewhere. Like not to china.

Sometimes you don't have a choice. With pans, you do.

  • Amazon.
  • If you're a Costco member, you can get a 2-pack for $5 more than Amazon's individual price

Well made, long-lasting, PFOA-free, oven safe to 400F, and I like the removable silicone handle cover (I slip it off to put in oven).

  • I have one (10”) and it is reserved for eggs only. Sometimes you can find the Pro model at Walmart for a good price.

I like enameled cast iron . The properties of cast iron with a fraction of the clean up and maintenance time . I'm sure there will be a naysayer but it works for me .
