Workers’ comp (defense). The red-headed step children of the insurance defense bar. Current job (my exit opportunity from prior toxic office , and the one which I’m now leaving on perfectly amicable terms) is general insurance defense. Lots of professional liability, CGL, EPLI, you name it… just no workers’ comp, which is an incredibly niche area. Being their only staff counsel in Maryland, I’ll likely pick up some personal lines business as well. -RobThis message has been edited.
