I can recommend the Brother HL-3180CDW. It's been going strong for many years now.

Another Brother owner here. I have been using the same MFC-8840D multi-function B&W laser (with duplex printing) for at least 12 years.

I've been an Epson XP user for about 8 years. The print heads dry out as others have described and then you go through the align/clean cycle, which wastes ink. Then you buy new ink and have to align/clean again. Blah, blah, blah.

Finally said goodbye to Epson. Forever.

Picked up an HP Envy 6055 and it runs far better than the Epsons. I guess we'll see how long it lasts. If it is the same old thing, then I see a laser in my future.
