Well, I thought about it for awhile, and I have always wanted a merle aussie. I have my Red Tri girl, and I found this guy and thought that he would make a great addition. Ahyoka loves puppies, and other dogs and is really social. As a matter of fact, when she doesn't get to play with her little friends she gets kinda down.

So I thought that this would be great for us both.

The first day was rough, Ahyoka wasn't very happy about her new little brother. But she has really taken to him.

There is some sibling rivalry but she is really showing him the ropes.

Little brother loves his big sis. He follows her around like a little puppy.

Everyone. Meet Sequoyah ( ᏎᏉᏯ). Red merle, one blue eye, one green/amber and blue speck.

I have always had aussies or aussie mixes, I love the breed! Out of all of them Ahyoka might be the best of them all. So far, Ahyoka has really helped break in the puppy. Sequoyah has been doing great! He's a little lover boy.

Ahyoka is velcro, Sequoyah is super glue!

I have always had black aussies, except Sunny Day, she was a mini aussie sheltie mix, and had a coat more like a sheltie.

Then I saw Ahyoka and the little red head stole my heart. After that, I wanted a red merle, always wanted a merle, always thought it would be a blue, but after Ahyoka, it had to be a red merle. Saw this little guy and fell in love.

I forsee many adventures together!

That is cool! Ahyoka Star ( ᎠᏲᎧ ᏃᏈᏏ ) was named after Sequoyah's daughter, when I was looking for a name for her, and saw its meaning, I knew that was the right name, it fit! Sequoyah ( ᏎᏉᏯ ) or as he spelled it
( ᏍᏏᏉᏯ ) was who came up with the Cherokee syllabary, and his daughter helped with the symbols of the syllabary. So it only seemed fitting!

I actually found a place that can engrave their dog tags in cherokee syllabary! It has the English and syllabary of it.

I have/am trying to learn cherokee, I know a few words and phrases.

Ahyoka Star knows come, let's go, sit, down, wait (stay), no, yes, stop, heel, commands and good girl in cherokee,( also knows them in English).

I has a couple of cherokee syllabary programs to learn, and write the syllabary. But that's a tough language to learn!
