Con Edison did this to a tree at my house in NY. I’m rarely there but it was an eyesore for the neighbors so I finally posted a photo along with their description of their process to their FaceBook page. The tree was gone when I was there next. Devil's Advocate here. Those look like 1" diameter support cables. Not at all bothered by the branch that has grown around it. I suppose they could have removed more of the piece, risked destroying the chain on the saw. Even if they unfastened one end of the cable, I doubt that piece would slide off. | |||
