China establishes police station in New York City

The Chinese government has established “overseas police service stations” to keep track of its citizens abroad, including one in New York City and three in Toronto, according to a human rights watchdog group.

Safeguard Defenders said in its report released last month that the “110 overseas stations” are used to help the Chinese Communist Party by “cracking down on all kinds of illegal and criminal activities involving overseas Chinese.”

The main criminal activities that are monitored by the CCP surrogates are fraud and telecommunications fraud, according to the report.

It goes on to say that from April 2021 to July 2022, Chinese authorities claimed that 230,000 Chinese nationals have been successfully “persuaded to return” to China to face criminal proceedings for their actions.

Typically the methods used to ensure a citizen returns involve intimidating and imprisoning a criminal target’s family, or having CCP proxies threaten the target online or in person and get them to “voluntarily” return.

More like to keep an eye on and help the vast network of spies and thieves they have operating in this country in academia, govt contractors and the government itself. I watched an FBI briefing on this and it's downright sobering; they have turned it into a complete art form.

Years ago there was a concert at the Kennedy Center in DC my then-Chicom GF wanted to attend. But then she dug into the sponsors a little and it turned out they had ties to Falun Gong. She said we could not go because the PRC embassy would have some goons there filming all attendees for later identification and could mean trouble for her and even for me when applying for a visa to visit China. Their gov't has eyes absolutely everywhere in the US - universities, gov't. labs, military bases, cultural institutions, everywhere. Our regime won't lift a finger, even if they were competent enough to root them all out.

Under what law, treaty or agreement do they have authority to do that?

The question should be, "Under what US law can they not do that?"

So... What happens when the CCP PD shoots some NY thugs? Or... Maybe it will be the other way around!

This is something the FBI should be taking care of instead of going after our own regime opponents. It'd be plenty easy to do, it needs to be done and it would have a tangible benefit on nat. security .... and that's why it will never happen.

Watch for a consent document or memorandum of joint authority with the Potatus and his agencies, who better to do away with any opposition than the people who have made it an art form?
