My bet is that *uckerberg pulled the pin after seeing the 60 Minutes whistleblower segment fallout on both social media and the stock market when Facebook's stock started at 335 and was down to just under 323 pretty quickly.

Better to say, "Sorry, we just had a BGP outage" than "We needed a distraction from the damage caused by the whistleblower last night."
