VERY NICE!!!

Extension of honeymoon? Great looking couple!

Hey, there was an x-rated part in there. Warning Smile

What kind of hats? Look nice.

On site looks nice. Was the travel to and from tedious?

Yeah, part of our honeymoon trip

We had a bunch of different hats actually. I brought a Tilly T6(?) with me, and the tour operator gave us the canvas boonie hats, and I had a couple of tactical ball caps.

Air travel was manageable. We broke our in-bound travel into mini trips in Lisbon and Zurich, and we had Airport Lounge access for when we got to the airport early or had a layover on the way back.

Driving through and around Kenya was pretty bad. Their roads suck and the Land Cruiser's on-road comfort is pretty low. Unstoppable out in the field, but speedbumps (every 100 meters it seems wherever the highway passes a village) sucked.

It's all kind of a hodgepodge.

I used a Fuji XT-1 with the very excellent Fujinon 50-140mm f2.8, but it's main purpose is for taking pictures. There's a few clips in the video with footage from the Fuji and the footage is decent--the lens is optically stabilized, but couldn't fully eliminate jostling when someone in the car would get excited and move abruptly.

Much of the footage came from cell phones. My wife is using the Pixel and I have a Nexus 6P.

Some of the time lapses while driving came from a cheap Chinese knockoff GoPro, called a SooCoo.

I came home and immediately bought a new camera and a gimbal for better video. Regret not ignoring the wife earlier and buying the camera before the trip. Oh well.

Congrats on the Wedding!
Beautiful (well, mostly) place to go on the Honeymoon!

Looks like you were at Treetops? Tsavo region between Nairobi and the coast. You were also in the Mara River area. Hard to explain to people it idea of a "Luxury Tent" with a canopy bed, ceiling fan, hot & cold water, marble/granite floors.

The place with the Giraffes, Giraffe Center outside of Nairobi?

I was in and out of Nairobi back in '91-'92. Traffic sucked, roads sucked, pollution, corruption... The locals for the most part were pretty cool and down to earth people. Once you got outside of town, probably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.

I remember banging around in the old school Land Rover Defenders way back then... As my one Brit Buddy put it; "It's like one of your Army Jeeps, it's made to get the job done, not for doing it comfortably."

Glad you two had fun!

Great video.

Question: What kind of personality trait would you need to do that well? That looks like a lot of work and I personally wouldn't want to expend that much energy for something like that. Unless you tell me, you have this amazing software that splices things for you in 5 minutes.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Beautiful video. Looks like the Mt. Kenya area? I just got back from Kisumu, Kenya myself, but I doubt I had as much fun as you did.
