Question: What kind of personality trait would you need to do that well? That looks like a lot of work and I personally wouldn't want to expend that much energy for something like that. Unless you tell me, you have this amazing software that splices things for you in 5 minutes.

I think the only personality trait you need to have is a desire to have fun while doing it.

Take a bunch of video clips, 5-15 seconds is usually enough, and then just pull out 2-5 second clips of some of the better videos and put it to music.

It's not a particularly fast process, especially if you have to sort through a lot of bad video clips to find the best ones, but it's pretty rewarding.

Beautiful video. Looks like the Mt. Kenya area? I just got back from Kisumu, Kenya myself, but I doubt I had as much fun as you did.

The dry looking stuff is all shot in Samburu, the tree'd areas are all around Lake Nakuru, the watering hole/mud wallows are Aberdare, the flat plains are the Masai Mara, and the elephant orphanage and giraffe breeding center are in Nairobi.

Nicely done. Thanks.

We're planning a trip to Africa next year,
probably Botswana but curious who you went through...

Btw, my wife has given me the go ahead to upgrade my camera gear...Nikon will be very good to me this Christmas!
