Chuck Barris.
Its time for him to come in from the cold.

I too liked Chuck Barris (June 3, 1929 – March 21, 2017) but he is currently unavailable.

Couric will be on for 2 weeks. I'll have to skip until she is gone.

I vote (so far) for Mike Richards.

I've been thinking about who should replace Trebek. My favorite was Ken Jennings. But I came back to post Mike Rowe would be perfect. I wanted to scan if his name has been mentioned already and there's your post at the top of the thread.

I concur. He doesn't come off as Mr. Smarty Pants but you know he can hold his own. He's got a nice voice and personality.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." So far my wife and I are both liking Aaron Rodgers best.

He handled that jab from the champion, on his very first day, with remarkable humor and grace Smile

Yeah but...doesn’t he have another job?

I've wondered about Wayne Brady. I get that this isn't a comedy show but he just seems to have that special "It" in his presence and he is obviously very quick on his feet.

Yes, but he has apparently expressed an interest in becoming the Jeopardy host.

My wife and I continue to like him best of the guest hosts they've had, so far.

Are you kidding me?

I'm paraphrasing: these Midwesterners won 5 championships in the 1960s.

No one got it, but Rodgers is doing well.

As a host, he played that very well.

Ya, and Rogers may be a better game show host than a QB.

Looks like another two weeks w/o Jeopardy.

Easy enough for Rodgers to do. They shoot like 2 weeks worth of episodes in two days of actual filming. So he could easily film an entire season of the show in the NFL off-season. The crew of the show is the only thing working consistently, not the host(s).

The production crew for Jeopardy! is the same as Wheel of Fortune, so they just alternate filming of the shows over a single week: two days of one, then two days of the other.

I believe we are at the end of the guest hosts on Jeopardy. In my mind, a few have been good but most have not been entertaining. I'm not thrilled with the networks 2 choices for permanent hosts but the best ones have real day jobs.

I like Rogers, Jennings and Buzzy - but my favorite so far is Joe Buck. He's a natural. He adds emotion and humor to the job. He's has a great voice and great timing. Too bad he has a day job.

Mike

I believe the deed is done. Mayim Bialik has been chosen.

My favorite was probably Ken Jennings. There were several weeks that we didn’t watch at all, I guess in protest of the host filling in.

Going to be two hosts. Mike Richards for the syndicated shows, and Miyam Bialik for the specials.
