There are lots of Chickfila's on college campuses and they are closed on Sunday. The food is so good and the service is so great, they make up for not being open on Sunday. I know they started the closed on Sunday thing a long time ago for family and religious reasons but I honestly think it just makes us want it more the other 6 days a week.

Do, Or do not. There is no try.

Also, you know it would become a lightning rod for protests and vandalism, if ever got built. No good option here other than to eat at the other, existing local places.

Chick-Fil-A is on several college campuses now and it does quite well.

Ok, didn't know they were on college campuses. Wish they had been when I was in school, as I didn't have a car until senior year, so I was a pedestrian until then. Still surprised we haven't heard about them being the target of protests and vandalism, but good for them.

We had a Chik fil A on our local college campus years before they opened any other locations in town. Before I was in College, I always relished any opportunities I had to visit just so I could eat there. They did and still do very well there.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

Lemme see if I can break it down.

It means they force their way onto/into anyone or anything they disagree with and then proceed to "take ownership" and/or destroy the supporter(s) or the thing.

So, this university is inclusive except for those entities that support Christian values.

So, students that support Christian values either don't exist at the university or they are excluded from the inclusion crowd?

The issue is not, IMO, about the quality of food at Chik-Fil-A. It is about this idiocy of hatred against the company for their beliefs. And the really big issue is that the idiots at that "school" have no concept of anything other than their dumb ass political leanings.

I wonder how much tax money goes to that dump! If any at all, it should be summarily stopped and the "school" forced to refund all of it.

As I understand it, that "opposition" is based on the Christian values of the owners, nothing to do with corporate rules or standards. So, it seems in this "enlightened" age that the personal and private beliefs of a company's owners is enough to destroy the company.

Yeah, that is inclusion.

Every time I read about someone trying to screw with the good folks at Chick-Fil-A I make sure that I make it a company lunch day there.

What leftists mean by sentences like this is, since a person, company, etc., does not enthusiastically support 'the lgbt community,' they are racist and exclusionary homophobes.

Idiots.

Well, CFA may not be, but I am opposed to the LGBTQ community. If they keep it to themselves, we're OK.

IIRC, CFA's owner's personal political/religious beliefs are not in the least bit imposed on his employees. So WTF cares what he does? In-N-Burger has Biblical quotes on the bottoms of some of their food containers. Anyone ever notice that and protest? That's way more overt than anything CFA has done.

I still love that story about that bag o'doosh in Tucson who filmed himself berating that CFA drive-thru employee, then lost his high-paying job, then his wife left him and he's living on welfare now.

I like the story except for the "welfare" part. Why would he deserve welfare? He's capable of working. Our system is badly broken.

Well, let’s see. . .
Rider University is located in New Jersey
They have about 4,039 students (Oh wow! That’s a big school.)
They list as their “Notable alumni”:
Mark Schweiker
Jason Thompson
Digger Phelps
Nathaniel Barnes
Frederick W. Donnelly

Wow! I’m impressed. Who are these people? I’ve never heard of any of them.
Well maybe Digger. Wasn’t there some kind of sports related guy named Digger?

I reckon I don’t really care what Rider U. does or doesn’t do.

I doubt that Chick Fil A cares either.

Heard a lot of the same nonsense from people in my town here in Washington when they put one in. "Hate Chicken" and "Bigot Chicken" over and over and over again. NPC's.

They opened in February and have been doing very steady business ever since. Saturday mornings, they look especially busy, and of course, every weekday evening when I drive past, the parking lot is full and so is the drive-thru lane, but it's always moving.

Inclusion and tolerance my ass. Now excuse me while I unwrap my Chick-fil-A biscuit with a slice of American cheese....

They are working on that. At a recent non-profit event, a speaker mentioned LGBTQIA a couple of times. I asked him later privately what the IA stands for “Intersex” and “Asexual”. I just thanked him for clearing my confusion and kept the head shaking internal.

Whatever...
