AZSigsI am NOT Obese...
Congrats on your progress.

YooperSigsCongrats! My New Years Resolution was to lose weight and I lost 10 pounds. Until C-19 closed my gym. Combine that with miserable weather in April and early May that keep me from exercising outside has pretty much erased my progress.
Now that the weather has finally broken, I hope to get back with the program.

John SteedThis is very timely for me, and I hope it inspires me to stay the course.
About this time last year I was pushing 300 lbs. I decided it was time to do something or quit acting like I care. So I went on an austerity program (no sweets, no snack foods, no beer, few carbs) and now I am 70 lbs lighter. I too had an "I'm Not Obese" celebration.
My next goal is to get below 200 lbs. I've been stalled for awhile, but your story inspires me to stay with it.

Pipe SmokerCongrats on your excellent progress!
Now you can use your SECA scale since you no longer exceed its capacity.

Congrats to Fenris. Besides the changes in BMI, I imagine there are many other things that improve like sleep apnea, overall energy levels, sleep quality, joint pain etc.
Hunger and cravings are connected to (processed ) carbohydrate consumption. Once the hunger goes away, the body starts to convert fat deposits (visceral especially- the dangerous kind) into energy. The fat will melt away.
I rode 35 miles today on nothing but a cup of morning Joe and a honey packet, jerky and electrolytes mid ride. Metabolic flexibility is a super power. Again, congratulations to Fenis on his health journey especially during these times where it could be a matter of life and death.

This morning my BMI (Body Mass Index) was down to 29.9. That is down from a peak of over 53 about eight years ago when I weighed somewhere north of 400 pounds.
that's impressive
