So it's cool now to threaten two sitting Supreme Court Justices? There is no political price they could pay since their lifetime appointments. So what exactly does Chucky plan on doing to them?

To me, Chuck’s outburst was a measured call for violence by the great low IQ commie masses. As he is not checked for such episode, each subsequent example is one notch more vitriolic. Eventually he will hang himself but he should be stopped, but by whom? Seems like they are all corrupt...

I just hope Roberts remembers this when he is writing the NYSRPA v. NYC decision.

In my opinion, Schumer is advocating political action by assasination (PABA).

Sadly, it is not beyond belief that the left-wing radicals could act on his inflammatory rhetoric.

I do not know what security measures protect the Justices, but whatever they are, they should be vastly increased due to the thinly veiled threat.

It also occurs to me that PABA could go both ways. When the head of a snake is removed, it can no longer strike. One should be very careful in what one advocates... a whirlwind does not care what is swept in its path.

Does someone have to die before assholes like Shumer can be stopped? Good for Roberts and Trump for speaking out against this type of behavior, but it's not enough. Arrest him, put him on trial, and toss his sorry ass in jail and watch how fast this type of activity comes to a halt.

Exactly. If you or I pulled a stunt like that, the Secret Service would be all over us like a cheap suit.

Well, first, he didn't threaten Roberts- he threatened Gorsuch and Kavanaugh.

Second, those two went through Democrat-induced personal hell during confirmation hearings. Those two know what kind of personal distress that can be promoted and instigated on cue by the leftists.

Schumer implied that he could/would unleash the frenzied masses again, if those two dared to vote in a way that displeased him.

Schumer needs to endure some of that himself, maybe then he'd have some empathy. Unfortunately, the party of logic and rationality is short of frenzied masses.

If Schumer opens his cock holster one more time, Chief Justice Roberts should issue a federal bench warrant for the arrest of Schumer for criminal contempt of court.

Then serve it on him when Congress is next out of session.

Exactly my thought last night. This is not an off-the-cuff political comment to whip up the crowd. SCOTUS judges have a life term unless they resign. There is nothing - NOTHING - Congress or the Executive can do to make a judge "pay the price" and "not know what hit them."

This can well be construed as a call-to-violence and Schumer now knows it. He's trying to change what he did and said now ... not happening bud.

It's pretty clear to me at this point, the Democrats are trying to take over this country and in many cases believe they already have the power to do what they want.

No member of any branch of our government should be able to threaten a member of another branch.

Can someone explain to me why Congress appears to have zero controls in place over conduct and behavior?

Justices can be impeached and removed. The Democrats have already demonstrated that political differences is sufficient cause in their mind.

Schumer is a self-serving thug and the worst example of a sleazy, underhanded shitweasel politician that I have ever seen. Every time I hear him open his yap, I want to throw something at the TV. But, I am afraid that what he said is protected speech and not a crime. Somebody, preferably a veteran, needs to take this asshole on in an election and move his ass out of there. On the bright side, when he spews his shit in public, it tends to energize the right to action in the polls.

McConnell slams Schumer on Senate floor for controversial remarks directed at Supreme Court justices

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., called out Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on the Senate floor Thursday morning for his controversial warning a day earlier that Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh would "pay the price" for decisions in abortion cases.

“There is nothing to call this except a threat,” McConnell said.

Schumer made the statement during an abortions rights rally hosted by the Center for Reproductive Rights as the court was hearing arguments in a case over an abortion-related Louisiana law.

"I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price!" Schumer warned. "You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions."

After McConnell's remarks, Schumer took to the floor and began by claiming that McConnell made a "glaring omission" by not mentioning that Schumer was speaking regarding a Supreme Court case that could impact women's ability to get an abortion. He then admitted that he chose the wrong words to convey his message.

"Now I should not have used the words I used," Schumer said. "They didn't come out the way I intended to."

Schumer insisted he in no way meant to threaten Gorsuch or Kavanaugh, and that McConnell knows this. He claimed he was referring to the political consequences the case could have.

"I'm from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language," he said.

Schumer spokesman Justin Goodman previously insisted that Schumer was addressing Republican lawmakers when he said a "price" would be paid -- even though Schumer had explicitly named Kavanaugh and Gorsuch.

McConnell did not buy that, saying that Schumer was trying to "gaslight the entire country" by claiming he was not addressing the justices.

"But if he cannot even admit to saying what he said, we certainly cannot know what he meant," McConnell said. "At the very best his comments were astonishingly reckless and extremely irresponsible.”

McConnell was not the only senator who addressed Schumer's comments. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, called on Schumer to apologize.

"At best, it was an injection of partisan politics into the process that should be immune to these justices," Grassley said. "At worst it was a threat targeting two sitting members of the Supreme Court."

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has indicated that he plans to introduce a resolution to censure the minority leader.

"I would call on Schumer to apologize, but we all know he has no shame," Hawley wrote Wednesday.

Good. Censure would be appropriate, at a minimum, IMO.

I'd call on Democrats to remove him as the minority leader in the Senate, but we all know that's not likely going to happen.
