They do sound unmistakably like Led Zeppelin, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. I do like a couple of their songs but maybe it's because they sound so much like Zeppelin. Kinda curious to hear more from them, in any event. They're getting quite a bit of airtime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22O7uNV_UJ0

I’m a fan. Some might say their sound isn’t unique enough, but they aren’t a cover band. It’s new stuff, almost Led Zep 2.0. Similar to Radkey, who I think are awful Misfits like. -- I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. JALLEN 10/18/18 https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...610094844#7610094844

Aren't three of them brothers, the lead singer (who's taken to being a frontman to heart) being the youngest? In this day and age of autotune, shitty country and crappy R&B, I'm glad to hear this kind of sound again. Some of the hate on them could probably be avoided if they didn't dress in 70's era styles, there's been a handful of Plant sounding singers, they just didn't dress like him. So far, Im liking them. Im going to wait till the 3rd album then see what happens. They put on a good live show. I got to see them about 3 weeks ago, I was impressed. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. They’re very good, but similar to a comment smshulz made in the Deep Purple thread. Have you seen the Lair? _______________________________________________________ despite them

For me, this is about the nicest thing I can state about the band. Otherwise, meh. But I guess beggars can't be choosy in today's modern pop scene as far as finding a band with a classic rock sound. If this band came out in past decades, not much attention would have been paid. These kids seem really together and nice, but the songs and the vocals really do not grab me. I was hoping "Greta" was going to be a hot rocker chick, so I was disappointed when I saw a band photo. I'd like to see what they sound like for their next album. MOO means NO! Be the comet!

I like them so far. Although, I think my IQ dropped several points after listening to a few of their interviews. Rick Texting.......easier than calling.

I like the few songs I checked out on youtube. I'm going to have to go through their catalogue and download the songs I like - especially live recordings - to have some new tunes to play the drums with. Thanks for posting/bring to our attention!

I'm aware of the lair but have never spent time there and don't think I have ever posted there. Habits, I guess.

That is my spot. |
So, I am 40 now. A little young to have lived REAL-TIME with the greats of the 60/70/80s but have learned to love "Classic Rock." I loved Metallica and GNR but also listened to Pantera and the 90's PJ/ Nirvana/ Grunge vibe. I have spotify (family) because I want to stay somewhat relevant and I like good music. GVF has a couple songs in my playlists and I knew they sounded like Zep. However, I had no idea that they were new. I thought they were some older band that I just didn't know. So. I feel sheepish. But yes, I like them. ***************** Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Ben Franklin

Every generation has new artists who are basically copying older artists with a very slight twist or slightly improved technology. The same was true for our generation. It sounded "great" to us, because it was the first time we heard it. The subsequent copycats don't sound quite as good, because we already have the 'originals' in our mind. But to the younger generation, this is their original great artist. I like the older Motown versions of a lot of 60's & 70's British rockers' hits. THey all sound good though. "Crom is strong! I thought this was about van fleet vehicles. Gonna check them out tonight. If any one is looking for a great fleet can, Nissan's NV2500 is decent, but the wiring is not the best (interior lights and door locks). Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

That was Greta Van Susteren, I think. I'd never heard of this band, but that is not unusual--I haven't cared for any "popular" music since the 1950s. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Freshman year at Ohio State the only radio station that would reliably get through the armored dorm walls was the campus radio station, so that was what my clock radio was tuned to. The alarm was also set at 7:00 AM so I could hit the cafeteria before my 8:00 class. EVERY SINGLE MORNING the campus "DJ" for that time slot would play Stairway to Heaven at 7:00 AM sharp. Needless to say I absolutely LOATHE Led Zeppelin. I've stopped counting.
