Thanks ORC. The Mazdas are nice, especially in their metallic red. __________________________ Writing the next chapter that I've been looking forward to.

Congrats. If you find it swaying too much at freeway speeds, look into the Perrin steering dampener. I installed it on my daughter's 2020 Impreza. Made a difference for me. She doesn't notice anything. Nothing wrong with the yellow. I was trying to buy my son a Nitro Yellow with white top Trailblazer last month. It sat on the lot for a year because no one liked the color. My exwife bought it out from under me for herself. Not minority enough!

Congrats Brad. That should be a great car for you for a long time. I actually like the color!

If you came in under budget Brad. I would consider taking the money you saved and consider a paint job "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Good lookin’‘Trek! I had a ‘20 in that blue-grey color - cool grey khaki, and I really loved. I only got rid of it since we needed a little larger of a vehicle for traveling after my wife retired. It was a beast on ice, snow, and light off-roading, and it regularly got 31-33 mpg. The leather seats were nice and comfortable, and it did well on the twisties. My only complaint was the front end appearing to wander even though it wasn’t loose. It seemed like it had to be steered more to stay straight. Of course, the dealer didn’t find anything wrong with it when I complained to them about it. Don’t forget to maintain accurate tire pressure. Even though the tires are the same front and back, some Subarus require a pound hire in the front tires. The synchronous AWD system NEEDS that accurate tire pressure as to not get damaged. Good luck! Great choice Brad! I am a total Subaru bigot. We just bought another Legacy because they are ton of bang for the buck. Bummer they are discontinued. In N. Utah I only need the AWD about 10 days a year but when you need it you really need it. It's also nice when the wife and I are on a road trip and we hit bad weather.

Look great Brad will Pam let you drive it? Sorry about your F150 when we see a vehicle all rusted out at my friend's shop we call it a yankee vehicle _______________________________________________________ And no, junior not being able to hold still for 5 seconds is not a disability.

Toe/caster out of adjustment? IIRC 0 or some toe out can cause wandering, but can give more aggressive performance. A bit of toe in gives some self centering. The Enemy's gate is down.

Congratulations, nice you finally found the manual transmission, at that point color isn't an issue really and that looks Gold in the picture!

That's what the Perrin steering dampener solved for me. Not minority enough!

I was active on Crosstrek/Subaru forums back when I had mine, and I wasn’t alone with the wandering ‘Trek. I have no knowledge of the procedure(s) the dealer mechanic ‘performed’ when I brought it in, but I’m betting it was only a quick test drive. As you would think, it wandered differently on different roadways. Again, this was from new on. I even told family members to take a lengthy test drive if considering one. I was relieved my ‘23 and ‘24 Forester Wilderness’ didn’t have that problem. Yep, very probable it was incorrectly aligned from the factory. Retired Texas Lawman

Two month (and a couple weeks update. We are loving our Subie. We've had blowing drifting snow for the last several days. It goes through it all. We have put about 2k miles on so far and it is everything we thought it would be. Great Little Beastie!. We did find that hauling 400# of feed home in the back changes the front/rear bias a bit __________________________ Writing the next chapter that I've been looking forward to.

Congrats on your purchase. We have been Subaru owners for 5 yrs now. An Outback and a 2025 Forester that we got to replace our 2017 Foreter that sacrificed its self to save my wife after a pickup pulled out in front of her last October. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

My last Subaru was a.... Justy. I drove it until it actually began to fall apart. A real switchable 4X4 drive system, IIRC. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Have a 2016 Limited CT as my daily (picked it up for a steal) and it will be my daughter’s first car to drive in another year or so. 30-32MPG isn’t hard to achieve with very little effort. Recently replaced rear wheel bearings and did valve cover and spark plug o-ring seals. Beyond that a great car. Been trying to find a remote start system to install but the 12volt Solutions unit I want is perpetually out of stock. Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view. Complacency sucks…

The Crosstrek is great, and that is MY favorite color for it. frankly, Subaru is all the car you'll really ever need. Congrats! _____________________________________________ Proverbs 3:31 "Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways."

Same here, I tell people it just feels so "planted" like it's got tracks instead of wheels. Have you discovered the thing where it beeps at you inside if you are daydreaming at a light and the traffic has started to move already? I found that one out today and it saved me an angry honk.

I had a strong belief y’all would be happy with its performance in all weather, utility, fuel mileage, etc. Again, I wouldn’t have traded my ‘20 but for the larger cargo area. During this winter storm, many remained at home due to road conditions, but we didn’t feel limited. We came and went at will due to our confidence in our Forester Wilderness, and we’d have felt the same if we still had the Crosstrek. Retired Texas Lawman
