Received my new iPhone 11 pro
I decided yesterday that it was time for me to get my yearly new IPhone swap.

This year they told me there would be a $350. deposit. Deal breaker for me. I guess I'll just keep my 10 Max instead.

Actually, there are a couple safeguards:

1) If you hold the Volume Up button and the Power button a couple seconds until the "Slide to Turn OFF" screen appears, it will deactivate the facial recognition and will require manual entry of the unlock code.

If the phone is already locked...

2) If you have "Hey Siri" activated,
you can say "Hey Siri, who's phone is this?"

Siri will reply "I believe this phone belongs to (YOUR NAME)" and the facial recognition will be disabled and require manual entry of the unlock code.

This ^^^^^ is why I'm considering upgrading. I was going to hold out for iPhone X prices to drop, but now I'm thinking "I've never owned a flagship phone before, I use the hell out of my phone, and I ain't gettin' any younger, so..."

What got me to thinking about it was we were just in a doctor's office, the signal was poor, they had no guest WiFi, so there I sat, twiddling my thumbs. Maybe I'll head over to the closest TMO store and take a look.

My wife wouldn't mind a bigger phone, so maybe the 11 would be better for her. And, since fingerprint recognition doesn't work hardly at all for her (very faint prints), the face recognition would be a bonus.

But $60+/mo. for two years... I dunno...
