I have always loved cars, when I was a kid I would buy Cummings Motor news just to look at the ads and dream.

Someone here got me hooked on "Bring a Trailer", during the day I will just look at some of the ads and dream....if I had a great deal of disposable income and a huge garage Big Grin

Like Jay Leno but less annoying (I still watch his show)

Like this one...just to look at and enjoy the hand builtness

or this...how iconic a pink Tbird

Arguably prettier that the XKE

SO what cars are on your BaT wish list?

I'm considering placing a vehicle on BaT here in the coming months, actually. It is nice to hear there are other SF folks who browse BaT regularly and daydream, like me.
I use it primarily for market research for the specific make/model that I may be selling. However, I always get sidetracked looking at other cars.

That's a fun site to look at.

I'll have to tell Dad about it as he's looking to sell his VW Type 2 Transporter...

Top #1 for me has always been, if we're talking unlimited budget:

1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing

For a daily:

Mercedes-AMG E-class Estate (either an E55, or the later TTV8 E63)

The Enemy's gate is down.

1968 GTO.

I’d like to wander through Jay Leno’s Garage.

I’d probably be there for days.

Even if I win the Mega Millions lottery tomorrow, I can never see me having a Leno, Seinfeld or Tim Allen type car collection.

But I would like one " 40" Packard 120 Club coup,

a "41" Pontiac Silver Streak,

a "42" Ford super deluxe,

a "43 " Olds club coupe ,

a "45" Plymouth Special Deluxe ,

a "47" Chevy FleetMaster,

a " 48" Chrysler New Yorker,

a " 49" Dodge Coronet club coupe ,

a " 53 "Hudson Hornet

and
a Nash 600 Super Air Flyte .

While there are tons of wish list cars, what I'd like to have back are

82 Corvette, my first one

54 Oldsmobile - my first car, belonged to my grandfather who kept it for me vs selling it upon many offers by folks, when I turned 16.

2000 Heritage Softail custom built, custom paint.

Three that got away....

Slightly off topic but relative.

I just sold a car on BAT last year. It is an outstanding site for buying or selling. Nothing is 100%, but you can be more confident in your dealings there compared to some of the alternatives.

I'd like to find a BMW 2002 with round tail lights, color Colorado, just like the 1970 that was my first new car. Too small for our growing kids and too expensive when I was starting medical school.
