Not clear what that means. Can you provide a pic?

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/smp-bp22p Like this, attachment to the post on the battery and a threaded stud that you use with a crimped end. I don't like the wing nuts on this one shown, most come with an actual nut and that is what I would use. Readily available at your local auto place. They normally stock the dorman one which I don't like since the attachment to the battery post is not solid https://www.dormanproducts.com....aspx?origin=keyword But they will also stock the solid lead one and that's a bit better but the difference is probably all in my head. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

I think that's basically what I'm doing, using the two clamp-plate bolts as terminal studs. ![]() Battery Clamp_03 by kpkina, on Flickr

Sorry I missed what you are actually doing. That clamp is not designed to be used that way, but using it the way you are is just fine. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

It's kludgey but I can live with it. ![]() I actually looked for the one with the solid (vs. crappy stamped-and-folded) clamp and single upright post, but the store didn't have any. Then I realized I could use this model instead, just as good if not better due to my having two cable connections.
