Dinner for 18?

Fancy salad my daughter made
Lasagna
Stuffed Shells
Meat Balls
Spigette With two kinds of Sause. Traditional meat sauce and tuna-fish sauce (yuck, but wife and daughters like it)
Sausage
Garlic bread
Broccoli
Enough cookies and desserts to feed Patten's army

And, dirty dishes piled high, requiring three cycles of the dishwasher.

Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves.

This year it's chicken thighs with Chipotle chilies in adobo sauce and cream cheese, all cooked together in the InstaPot Dutch oven. This can be made with chicken breasts if you prefer. Will also have the obligatory green bean casserole made with mushroom soup and French's onions on top (my favorite), salad and sourdough bread.

Last week Mrs. 'Hook tried out this new dish as a trial run in her new Dutch oven, and I declared it delicious enough for Christmas dinner with my mom. Can't wait!

Filet of Mignon with twice baked potatoes (featuring crumbled bacon), etc.

I would have traded it for tamales Smile

My neighbors treat me every year. It will be a prime rib dinner with all the trimmings from one plus a homemade cheesecake with strawberry compote from another. I am blessed!

Those look awesome.

Me and my brother doing a prime rib roast on the grill. It's 12 degrees and I'm hoping the gas grill can keep up. I said the oven but cheesy potatoes are in there.

Just the wife and myself this year. Well, the dog too, but he's just finished his own dinner, and isn't invited to join ours. Something that has become an occasional family tradition, Spaghetti Carbonara, maybe with a side of garlic bread, and the wife will probably whip up a small salad, you know, to "eat healthy."

Ok, so this is a pic of the turkey before I put it in the oven. Funny that this is only the 2nd time in my life I have cooked it in the oven. All other times have been frying or smoking. I now like the oven!!! I failed to take any other pictures as I was hungry.

Tonight I had leftovers so this is basically what we had. Tonight I had a leg. Tomorrow I will make soup with the carcass.

I worked Christmas day. This is a knock off of the classic chili cheese burrito (chilito) taco bell recipe, but better. Pretty sure this falls under the category of traditional Christmas dinner.
