I'm in a class action lawsuit for something that cost me several thousand dollars and today I received an email from the company titled "reimbursement." I excitedly jumped through all the hoops to read the secure message on their site and...
{drum roll}
I got a $1.37
To be fair, it's from the same company as the class action lawsuit, but they are reimbursing an error they found in a previous billing. I was really hoping they settled the class action lawsuit and were informing me about the settlement.

I've gotten two windfall class action payments. One for $1.50, one for $3. We didn't consult an accountant or a financial planner, we just went wild and bought 2 king sized candy bars.

100 pack of 11” zip ties at Harbor Freight on sale for $1.29 plus tax: Big Ass Zip Ties.
Assuming 6% sales tax, that’s $1.37. My county has an extra 1% so I’d have to pull a penny from the change dish to keep it at $1.37.This message has been edited. Last edited by: trapper189,

I remember I could bring a dozen donuts to the office for $3.00. Then I became a manager and the price jumped to $5.00 a dozen. This was around 2010.
The biggest winners in class action lawsuits are the lawyers.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual."
