Just a week today Tac and I traded smileys over a joke I made about Lucas electrical products.

He's one of fewer than a dozen members here, who I tracked for their wisdom. JALLEN was another.

My condolences to his family, and to all the other SigForum members who feel this loss as much as I do.

Tac was a gem. He gave my wife and I invaluable advice when our daughter went off to England for grad school.

A warrior poet and gentleman. I'm sorry our paths never connected IRL.

Rest well Tac.

Terribly saddened to check in to SF and immediately read this news. He had a life wisdom, perspective and way of comporting himself on this forum that had me looking up to him. I truly wish I could have met him at some point.

Crap! Totally unexpected and a real blow to this forum. Seemed like a wonderful man. When we visited the UK and Ireland he offered to meet; just wasn’t in the cards. Now I regret it deeply. I’ll miss him.

His perspective from being across the pond was a welcome contribution.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Damn sorry to hear, like others have said it was always good to see his point of view as a prominent member outside the states. As a younger member this is just another weird reminder to appreciate the posts from people here. If I live a decent, healthy life I’ll be here after many. I’ve never personally met anyone from here yet, but I do feel a connection to many here.

Very sad to hear this. His posts were thoughtful and well written. I liked to hear what he had to say. Certainly seemed like a good guy.

And I am shocked. My impression was that he was a relatively young man.

Tac and I shared the love of birds.
He will be missed.

Fly into the sunset, may Crow guide you home.
Good night raggedy old crow.

From his short story he sent me. -

My parting message was not what you might call, well, inspired or poetic. Well, not the sort of poetry that sticks in the mind, but felt with every bit of my heart and soul, and certainly not what you would expect from a person like me. ‘Love from Crow x’, I wrote, building the words carefully, piece by tiny piece. No ‘Mister’, even though she had always called me that, in her kindly way. Well, I AM a crow, after all. Just a raggedy old black crow…
