slosigLove, ‘n’ Stuff.
I had two “Oh my Gosh, THE one” relationships when I was younger. Thank goodness I didn’t marry either one of them. In either case it would have been a train wreck.

Have been with my lovely bride a little over 29 years, married a little over 27 years (wedding was on two year anniversary of first date). Have two great kids together and work every day at building a great life together. We’ve been together longer than we’ve been apart. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I don't believe Tennyson was wrong. But then I believe that at different points during your live, what you need is different forms/kinds of love.
Loving and Loss are what causes personal growth

BillyBadBass36 years in August. She was my girlfriend before that. I gave her 16 roses on her 16th birthday. We have been in and out of "love" a few times, but I cannot fathom life without her.

Mars_AttacksWas married 12 years to a sociopath and divorced 10 years ago.
Even though I've lived with a woman the past 10 years, I refuse to marry her.

Fla. JimI met my wife in 1969 and after two weeks of knowing Her. And with absolute fright because I frankly was only interested in chasing tail. I knew she was the "One". I told her we would be wed and she was more freaked out than me! In 72 we were married usual ups and down of life. But our Love has never been in doubt. 45 yrs going on forever together and absolutely still know she was and is "The One". She is my one and only Love.

vthokyI'd like to have 1.21 gigawatts, a DeLorean, and the opportunity to go back 59 months and kick my own ass for a very stupid decision I made back then.
That solution, however, is quite unlikely. So my task each day is to be optimistic and "try, try again."
Well, and to trust that in some way unknown to me right now, that stupid decision was within His plan, rather than mine.
God bless America. May 28, 2018, 09:33 PM
sigmonkeyShort story.
Got into being married October 17th, 1977.
Got over being married December 21st, 2015.
Now, we are good friends.
I do not mind doing for my friends.

And my turtle does not care what I do.

ShneaSIGMy wife and I will celebrate our 9th anniversary in a little over a week. She certainly is "the One". Being married to Mrs. ShneaSIG is, frankly, easy. I find that I draw enormous strength and support from Mrs. ShneaSIG and our relationship, and I think she will tell you the same goes for her. I owe some of my biggest personal accomplishments to her because of her support. She's my best friend and my partner in life, which is what I think it takes for a happy marriage. There have certainly been times where life has been tough for each of us, and we got each other through those times. Even through those tough times, our marriage has always been happy, solid, and stable.
