Cameras in the classroom would be very interesting. I used to teach middle school and I could see how having a camera or three in my classroom would be beneficial.

I'd love for parents to be able to see their children in class. I know other teachers would probably cite BS about confidentiality or "infringement" of some sort or another.

The only drawback would be if people recorded minors who did not want pictures posted online. That could be a problem. Also, I suppose someone could be outed to a parent or other person who maybe should not be in contact with that child or had a restraining order preventing contact.

To me, the most troubling thing she said was that the administrators wouldn’t care what she said. That emboldens people like her to be the way they are and do and say whatever they please in classrooms and colleges.

Some think she’s crazy. She’s not crazy, just wicked.

If it's good enough for cops to have to wear cameras, then it should be just as good to require public school teachers to wear them too.

It's interesting that this women thinks it's perfectly fine for her to bully her students, yet as any Leftist will tell you, they are against bullying, especially online. The irony and hypocrisy are overwhelming.

I have mixed feelings on this. Transparency, ability for parents to monitor, etc. = good. Potential for abuse (pedophiles, etc.) = bad.

Maybe access restricted to passwords for parents / guardians, with 2FA (2 Factor Authorization), with contract prohibiting posting on social media?

Imagine that they would not be made accessible to anyone, just those that work for the school system, police, or parents.

Like LEO Cams it weeds out the BS, bad cops, lying perps, pinpoints who the trouble maker is/was.

This is a government taxpayer funded system, accountability is key, the good thing is people on camera tend to forget they are on it, and eventually the problems will come through.

Mark Levin is pushing for this. We need every possible tool to fight the totalitarian juggernaut. I say an exciting and necessary conversation.

I have no problem with people who are paid with our money being accountable to us. Yeah, it'll cramp some styles and take some adjustment, imagine the potential revelations. Not just offending teachers, offending students too.

And who's the #1 opponent of cameras in the classrooms? The teacher's unions. That should be reason enough to require them to be installed.

She was teaching Chemistry? OK, that was both informative and interesting. The best part is the parents get to see the little bastards cutting up in class. Or studying. Or leaning over to look up Cathy Cromwell's skirt. Kids are prisoners in the school, they feel that way and her leftist indoctrination should allow them to sue her for her misconduct.

On the other hand, maybe she just doesn't want to work and her hubby won't let her quit. She's solved that problem. I think the person I feel most sorry for is that guy.

Lehi, UT...that's a conservative area, her outburst of TDS and rant at the kid's, seems to reveal she has little friends and has internalized much. Even at typical leftist bastions like independent coffee shops and bookstores, she's likely turned-off people with her uncontrolled rants.

She likely spends her weekends up in SLC, hanging-out with the likeminded seeking solace and comfort of course she views herself as a pioneer, 'the light in the darkness'. During the week, she smugly sneers at everybody in the community from the safety of her bumpersticker adorned EV. She's very likely the angry witch at the natural food store or, she's much more worldly and shops at the Mexican mercado; grumbling at why they all attend church, men wear hats and the women scold their kids because they didn't address their elders properly. No, I suspect any discipline or removal was for openly mocking students and their parents and overtly threatening the kids for things that had not been done.

If it had been elementary or middle school kids, the swearing might have gotten something like a writeup and a "performance improvement plan" or similar, but with HS kids, I doubt anything beyond a "hey, watch your language" would happen for the swearing.

On the note of cameras, I'll just say that any HS teacher who doesn't EXPECT that their students are already likely recording them at any moment is clueless. Even MS kids, depending on the school's phone policy.

Just tell the Teachers Union the cameras are for auditing mask compliance, they'll be ok, installed and up for review immediately

Or she’s around like minded individuals while in the teachers lounge and is emboldened by the conversations going on in there which is why she thought nothing would happen. Then once it was posted upper management new hell was coming so they reacted quickly and appropriately to end any other inquiries right there.

She's probably from California.
Your out there Darth and know that a shit ton of people moved to Utah from California. Some aren't to bright and have been indoctrinated into liberalism.
When I lived out there, even though I moved from Ohio, it was the people who moved from California that were scorned.
Agenda or not, that's not gonna fly down there in the thick of Mormon country.
