At least you didn't get the new Tundra. It may be a good truck, but damn is it ugly (does the grille need to be bigger?).

Send us some pics of your new Taco when you get it.

The Tundra use to be a good looking truck but Toyota really dropped the ball on the styling of the new Tundra's. The truck just doesn't look good period.

The 22 Tundra has grown me substantially since it was first introduced.
The double cab is plain awful but the CrewMax is much better proportionally. The grill is large but looks better black with the fumanchu color matched.
Father in law got his a few weeks ago and I like it. My ‘14 is still a much better looking truck though.

Now the new Sequoia on the other hand is absolute FIRE!!!! Why that front end was not used on the Tundra is beyond me.

The Tacoma is a great little truck, I really wanted a TRD PRO but I don't fit in them.

I put a down payment on a 2022 Tundra last July and finally picked up a Limited Crewmax TRD in Lunar Rock at the end of March. I was lucky to get MSRP, they are marked up 5k minimum in the Twin Cities metro. I also got a great price on my trade, got more than I paid for my Subaru. I've wanted a full size truck for a long time and the high trade value seemed like a good opportunity to trade up.

Finding popular vehicles at MSRP is a struggle right now. I don't know when it will get back to normal if it ever will. Ford F150s can be ordered for under invoice at a few dealers around the country but the wait is long. I tried buying an 2022 F150 with X-Plan but I couldn't find a dealer that would honor it.

I don't know if things have improved since last Fall, but I thought I'd add this: Before I gave up on a new vehicle, someone told me that if you order from the factory, be sure that the dealer provides you with the document (can't recall the name right now) that shows your specific vehicle in the manufacturing queue. They also told me that you should ask the dealer for regular updates to see if your vehicle gets bumped (which I was told at the time happened all too frequently).

Amen. I am a big Toyota fan, but won't buy one until they move away from these hideously large grills.

Speaking of ugly-ass front-ends, Chevrolet ought to get the designer of the late model Silverado treatment for tertiary syphillis of the brain, before they can come up with something even uglier than this:

I haven't seen the new Sequoia on the road yet, but it does look way better than the fish lips.

Wondering if a sheetmetal swap is possible? Hmm...

They aren’t scheduled to hit dealers until the fall. There have also been some rumors of delays for the hybrid Tundras and since the hybrid is the only powerplant option for the Sequoia that fall date may be kicked back as well.

I am anxiously awaiting the new Sequoia as I have heard from 3 different Toyota folks that an extended wheel base model is finally coming.
Unfortunately I bet one won’t be able to be in one for under $70k so it will be 3 or 4 years before we can afford a used one.
So need to keep this Suburban rolling for that long.

Two years on our newly designed 2020 Lincoln Corsair, not one problem. Wife loves it, seats are super comfortable and it does everything we need and does it well.
