Well. I got the ok from the wife. Did the research and made the calls. Is there anything I should know that they don’t cover? Dr Snip Info

Situation awareness is defined as a continuous extraction of environmental information, integration of this information with previous knowledge to form a coherent mental picture in directing further perception and anticipating future events. Simply put, situational awareness mean knowing what is going on around you.

Well they do tell you this, but let me emphasize that you should not skip the follow up "sample" test to make sure you really are shooting blanks. When I heard that a significant percentage of people don't ever come back for that, I couldn't believe it.

In a few weeks when you take in your sample, take a big mayonnaise jar filled with Ivory Dish Washing Liquid and set it on the counter when you walk in. Watch their faces.

I personally have not had the procedure. That said a co-worker did. BE VERY CAREFUL when you are trimming up, pre-op.

The procedure itself isn’t bad. You’ll do fine.

When you feel better and think you can start wearing boxers again, stay in tighty whiteys another week.

When they grab the tubes to snip them it is a very uplifting experience. Go home and take it easy. No motorcycles, tractors, pogo sticks, trampolines, horses, or riding movers. I told them I'd like to keep the swelling but can they give something for the pain.

Had mine many moons ago.

The worst part was the gorgeous young nurse that came in to swab me down with the warm betadine solution. Well...maybe not. Big Grin

The real worst part was pulling the cords up to get them snipped. Felt like my guts were being pulled out.

Make sure you have a bag of frozen peas handy when you come home and take it easy for a few days. I had a 3-hour Huey ride immediately after my procedure. Eek

My doctor pointed out the same thing that several in this thread already have, which is really the most important part. You'll feel fine soon enough, but you aren't fine. Don't start doing too much just because you feel OK, as you may upset things.

Had that done back in 1983. Had two kids and wife and I decided that was perfect and she and I agreed that she should not have to go through surgery for that. Be wary though if the wife comes back later in the marrage and says her doc put her on the pill to control her heavy periods. Lets just say we are no longer married Wink

Had mine done last August. Easy peasy. Doc prescribed Valium and that made it actually kind of fun.

About a week of being uncomfortable, but nothing major.

Sooooooo worth it!
