Their prospects for obtaining any power in the near future are slim, and they keep pounding on the 20 of 80/20 issues. Their main focus is support of illegal aliens and appear to be doing nearly nothing for American citizens. They are doing everything to block deportation, hamstring ICE, and prevent feds from cleaning up Portland and Chicago.

I can't figure out how this could turn out well for them, unless they are working with cartels and a major incident is in our future. I suppose they could be goading DT into making a national guard or military deployment constitutional mistake that could lead to impeachment if they win the house in the mid terms.

They are desperate for power and will do most anything for it, as they have shown over the last 9 years. The ballot box options seem limited for them, so other more dangerous options might be all they have.

I think they need to get back to something resembling a moderate position and have consensus.

The trantifa wing is going to get severed if they want any future gaining approval from grown-ups.

If they keep doubling down like they have been, things are just going to get more fun to watch.

It's worse than that. They are the new enemy within. They believe in the same things the terrorists believe in the middle east and around the world. They're using the American system of government to embed themselves into power to bring you under their control or destroy you if you don't comply. It's not new, been going on for mellennia. Think all the despots going back from antiquity to today. That's exactly what it is. No amount of reason or common sense apply, since they share nothing with you in terms of ethics or morals or American values or general freedom and rights in any form. If you believe this applies to them you are severely mistaken. They're as fundamentally different from you as you are to the members of Hamas in Gaza. It's more serious than most of us are willing to believe. I would agree with the prev poster it would be fun to watch their demise, if they were common half ass charlatins, but many are not, they are true believers. It's not much fun anymore. But that's what happens when you welcome all your enemies and people who do not share your belief systems into your country. It's insane.

They're applying the "divide and conquer" strategy, and trying to make Trump look bad. It's a 2-prong strategy to solidify their base.

They make their base hate the other side so badly that there is no chance for any of them to cross over or to even vote centrist.

I always separate the average Joe citizen from the power elite in either party. In this case, the strategy is being employed by the leftist Democratic party. Some but not all are actual Marxist true believers. Many are just using a tool to secure their power and wealth. The citizenry, unfortunately, has a lot of true believers who are useful idiots.

Democrats Aren’t ‘Insane’ Or ‘Unhinged.’ They’re Deliberately And Methodically Anti-American

One thing right-wingers have got to stop doing is brushing off the deliberate intentions of Democrats as “insane,” “crazy,” or “unhinged.” They’re not, and to do so is to give them an excuse for their sick behavior, the way a proven murderer hopes to get off with a “temporary insanity” defense.

The temptation is admittedly strong. Democrats do a lot of crazy things, like support and champion every single policy that makes life for the average American poorer, more dangerous, and less meaningful. They’re in favor of open borders and rampant crime. They’re opposed to free speech and fair elections. Anyone would be forgiven for calling them insane.


They’re not. These are their very conscious and very sober positions. There is nothing they say or profess to believe that is misguided or poorly thought out. They mean what they say, and there isn’t a flicker of doubt. That it seems “crazy” or “insane” speaks to a lack of understanding of what exactly the modern Democrat Party is.

It’s not a different side of the same coin or a political party with well-meaning differences of opinion. It’s a revolutionary movement that rejects the American way, which is to say the fundamental view that all men and women are created equal and that the rule of law applies to everyone.

That’s not hyperbole or inflammatory language just for the sake of it. It’s a matter of public record. Democrat leaders do everything they can get away with for the purpose of relaxing anti-crime measures, squeezing every last cent out of middle-income earners, and wiping out their opposition, even if that means resorting to violence.

That some people are still calling Democrats “crazy” means they’re not thinking hard enough about what’s happening. An insane person can be put away or taken into custody. That’s not an option when we’re talking about roughly half the country’s population (though there are positive signs that the portion is getting smaller). They’re not crazy, even if it’s difficult to take them seriously. But everyone had better start.

Almost everything in our political conversation — to the extent you can even call it a conversation — has become a matter of life and death. When Democrats aren’t advocating for policies that might get you killed, some of them are simply trying to do it themselves. And remember: It’s not because they’re crazy. It’s because you disagree with them.

To question their mental capacity is to suggest there’s a random misfortune or irrational element at play. That’s not the case. They may lie about their intentions and speak in ways that fail to comport with reality, but that’s not the work of a political party that lost its grip. It’s the modus operandi of an organization willing to say and do anything to achieve its ambitions.

Recall the very distant past of 2024, when you knew that your savings account was shrinking and your social media feeds were clogged with shocking crime videos. Democrats, with a helpful assist from the dying news media, swore inflation was a myth and violence had never been more rare. That sounds crazy, but they were 100 percent cognizant of what they were doing. They were lying their way through an election, and if they were successful, they would have continued to make the country poorer and more dangerous.

To be sure, there are some genuinely dumb and perhaps insane people who lead the Democrat Party. Sen. Mazie Hirono and Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett come to mind. But they’re the exception. Purposeful, diabolical, and anti-American is the rule.

Yes. Pritzker is an example. What he says isn't reality, and he knows it, but that doesn't matter to him. It serves a purpose.

All of these previous posts assume one thing that may not necessarily hold, that we truly live in a representative democracy where the opinions and votes of the majority will eventually prevail. I would submit that the leftists' current positions and tactics are based on an assumption that this, the fundamental notion that led to the establishment of the USA, can be overcome through manipulation of information, and thereby beliefs. For example, by pushing the "center" farther to the left.

Perhaps it is (past) time for those of us who honor conservative principals to consider that they may be correct in their assumption, and to adjust our tactics to compensate. I think this is exactly what PDJT is trying to accomplish, using their tactics against them, to a certain extent if you will, and, of course, why they try so hard to tear him down lest he serve as an example to the easily-led majority they claim to influence.

Exactly how to modify our tactics is beyond the scope of my expertise, but the left should at least be aware that they were the ones who opened the door to such dirty tricks as "de-platforming," propagandizing, and lawfare. Seeing them exposed as the filthy, cheating, liars they are is, simply, delicious!

The dirty assed commies are very good at incrementalism and accomplishing their devious goals step by step over generations (i.e a long game). Conservatism's Achilles heel is that we just want to be left alone, but meanwhile the commies are incrementally chipping away at the American ideals that made us great. In 1963, Congress was so concerned about communism that they read the 45 declared goals of communism into the Congressional record.

Communism did NOT die with the fall of the Berlin wall, instead it rebranded itself as progressivism and socialism and today the 45 declared goals are largely accomplished thanks to a long game, a legion of useful idiots, and apathy. Most of what was said about Russian in 1963 could be said about China as well. I've narrowed down the list of what they've accomplished or put a big dent in accomplishing:

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind.

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

I think most lefties would be hard pressed to explain their politics but they all can surely describe their political opponents. They are sure of their hate and that is their biggest motivator. As Limbaugh said "liberalism is easy".

Housing costs. All they need to do is trot out rent control and subsidized housing and a good percentage of people will eat it up. The Republican Party needs an aggressive housing strategy to head off the socialist horseshit.
