Teaser....how was it?!?
Local dealer has 3 or 4, but they likely don't allow test drives. They all still have most of the shipping plastic on them, same with the GT350s.

I'd be more likely to get a Fusion Sport, though the RS I'm sure is more fun.

It is far peppier than my A4 ever was, Handles as tight as our e30 track car. Goes like a bat out of hell. It is a stiff suspension, but the rs2 recarro's mitigate that some. I spent 5 hours driving it sunday to Yorktown and back in traffic. It was a hoot to say the least. I had a stiff suspension on my a4, and it lowered a bit. In norwalk it felt a bit more abusive than this car does on virginia roads. We stuffed, 16 year old french immersion student, my 13 year old son and my 14 year old daughter into the rear on sunday. They fit, they grumbled, i told them to shut their yappers while i had fun.

As for the fiddly bits, I don't mind the clutch, my a4 stgII cryo treated was just as stiff, and released just as high. The gear box is as tight as my a4 ever was after the JHM solid shifter conversion. The exaust note is nice and burbly when needed but not obtrusive. Complaints, center armrest is mad for a bloke with 14ft long legs. It might as well be in the back seat. rear liscense plate bracket is made out of craylola crayons 3d printed into the shape of a liscense plate bracket. I need to loose 40lbs at least to really enjoy the seats.

All in all it is a damn fine ride.

I live on the end of a mile long dirt road. The mud flaps arrived today. MaxPider 3d floor mats are on the way. On the way is also the shift cable bushings, a non stripped out rear license plate bracket, (thank you dealer for bolting the damn plate on with a hammer drill) and an RS focus gas pedal spacer. Now I am contemplating a Radium dual bottle oil catch Can. Possibly an upgraded oil cooler and coolant over flow tank.

I am now ordering more basic wash stuff from my old dealer Detailers Domain. I sold all my gear when i sold the business in 2011.

I love those cars. I would definitely have to take my chances on no front plate though. That makes your eye go right to the plate distracting you every time.

Based on rsforum i ordered 3d maxPider floor matts. They look fantastic. The wife is very happy with them. She was blaze about the shifter linkage bushings, pedal spacer and rear liscplate bracet from your little cnc shop.

The mudflaps came in, i am waiting till i can get some time on my neighbors lift. I want to put a few things on. On its way is a 5mm aluminium skid plate to repla e the pressed horse hair one. That is coming from the skidplate guy. He is also going to look into one for my f150.

That Nitrous Blue says I'm over here, in the car park; not that you would use it as a shopping cart, just saying ...

Same car is AUD$63,990 drive away - here in loverly Melbourne, Australia ...

So a small update while my phone uploads photos. The car has just over 2k on it, and goes in for its first oil change tomorrow. I have a fair bit of driving to do in the next week so i wanted to get it in sooner rather than later.

I also sprung for the Tune+ W400 kit. We will run the kit using the 93 oct tune. The kit comes with high flow air filter, New cold weather plugs, cobb acessport and ETS FMIC. The FMIC and the tune should bring the numbers to about here.

Stock car no tune WHP and WTQ

W400 car on 93oct

I also touched base with my old distributer for detailing supplies and put Nanolex si3d on it after decontam, clay polish and cure prep.
