Only one cog in the greater machine. You got aldercritters, state reps, entitled activists, a DA who won't prosecute criminals, a sheriff who won't hold criminals, a local media who keeps the lies going, and serious issues in the command staff of the Police Department. The "Crooke County" machine is just a part of the Illinois political machine.

All excellent points, but you do leave out yet another major cog - liberal judges who routinely refuse to hand down appropriate sentences for violent crimes under the aegis of social rather than criminal justice. The full slate of Cook County judges needs to be flushed as well.

Precisely my thought!!!

Like all good socialists, they got what they wanted. Now they don't want it anymore so gubbermint is supposed to bail them out.

Screw them. They voted that asshole in, how many times?, now make them live with it.

Asking the Federal government for help, then just this week, Rahm is flapping his gums about loving being a sanctuary city and that "Dreamers" are just a sweet lovable part of Chicago that they just can't get enough of.

I say we cut off all funding to Chicago that is allowed to be cut off. Then tell Rahm ICE is not going to be performing ANY raids in the Windy city. So all of the illegal criminals nationwide know where to go. Then write an open letter to the police department there, addressing the officers, letting them know, they are on their own with Rahm baby.

Let crime drown the city. No, I don't care about the citizens there. The smart ones are leaving anyway, and the ones still there largely voted for the crap pot they are in.

Then sit back and enjoy the news reports and the whining.

The Democrat Party has always been the enemy of black Americans. Historically, they were the party of slavery, of Jim Crow, of Segregation,. They control the inner cities across the country, which are seedy, filthy, drug ridden and violent. But they keep right on electing Democrat mayors and councilmen. As Bulldog said, at some point you just give up on them.

Rahm says that illegals are part of the Chicago family. "Dreamers" are welcome in Chicago!

When he asks for Federal help, Trump should give him a swift kick in the ass. For real.

This is too true.. I see feds moving in and as soon as the first "criminal" gang banger is killed by the feds the shit hits the fan and fingers all blame Trump.

And the gutless Mayor and all the other city turds would wash their hands of the whole deal. You could count on that.

You are correct for the most part. Check over at Second City Cop Blog, there are a couple judges who have thrown the book at defendants. The State Attorney then makes sure most cases don't go to those judges but to liberal judges. Most of the problems aren't the judges, it is now with the State Attorney refusing cases and re-writing the laws on the books to the extent she may put a few criminal defense lawyers out of business. This is a political trap, the Democrats will off load the problem to the feds and utilize the failure to batter Trump.

Cuomo is setting this up with pending Penn. Station debacle.

Taking ones failures and ascribing it to the opposing party.

Unfortunately, in the case of Chicago... support their efforts but make the locale own it.

Probably true. And much of the media will promote the lie. And much of the populace will knowingly swallow the lie.

Those are at best solutions for an acute problem; they won't address chronic problems. As far as I'm concerned, Chicago is plagued with chronic problems stemming from cultural, philosophical and social issues.

Asking for help from Trump like this is like asking for him to paint over some graffiti. Done, but then the graffiti returns the next day.

So, no. No help. Demonstrate a permanent shift in mindset first. Then ask for help.

Missed this thread the first time around, but read it with interest today.

konata88 nails the problem. Democrats have run Chicago for 86 years. The problems in this city have been ongoing, not for years or even decades, but for generations. There is no quick fix to the problems in this city.

Hey Rahm, how about hiring more of your own cops instead of asking for someone else's? Maybe if you address the manpower issue.... maybe if you didn't pander to the BLM crowd... the ACLU...

Trump On Chicagoland: "Killings Have Reached Epic Proportions...I'm Sending In The Feds!"

He's been promising to do it for a long time, and now it appears that Trump is finally "sending in the Feds" to help with Chicago's "crime and killings" which have "reached epic proportions."

As the Chicago Sun Times noted this morning, Trump's Federal force will include 20 agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and they have been tasked with the mission of solving gun crimes and hunting down gun traffickers in the city.

On Thursday, authorities confirmed that about 20 additional agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have been sent to Chicago to combat gun violence here.

The ATF agents are working with about 20 counterparts from the Chicago Police Department and Illinois State Police on a strike force whose mission is to solve shootings and hunt down gun traffickers through ballistics technology.

Prosecutors from the U.S. attorney’s office and Cook County state’s attorney’s office have been assigned to the force to decide whether suspects in gun crimes should be charged in state or federal court.

“The goal is the prosecute as many of these guys as possible federally where they will serve longer prison terms,” said Anthony Riccio, head of the Chicago Police Department’s organized crime unit.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Chicago is a parasite that has killed the host. It must be treated as one would kill cancer. Surgically remove it from the state, then radiate it until its burnt beyond all recognition.

With the arrival of a 'Federal force' in Chicago, how long is it going to take for the POS race-baiter's to declare that Trump is sending in his racist brown-shorts to put down the 'community'?
