The friends with whom we'd usually get together are going to a concert with other family, instead, this year, so we don't have any specific plans at all. Just hangin' out.

Maybe I'll swap out the semi-buckhorn rear sight on my Marlin 1894 for the Marbles full-buckhorn I bought. That's about it, really.

Came home for the holiday, saw despicable me 3 with the family (the theater serves bucket -o- Heineken Big Grin).

Mowed yesterday...shows you how much I miss being home.

Picnic today at a mates place....he has a pool.

Midget has a fever but I am hoping it dies down before tomorrow, Mckinney has a pretty good fireworks show and we want to catch the parade.

Thanks to all of the fires we now have draconian fireworks restrictions in Colorado, so wife and I came to visit some old friends in Missouri.

We just got back from a cabin trip filled with canoe fishing, shooting and REAL fireworks! Bonus is I escaped the ticks.

Now we are prepping for a proper 4th celebration filled with mortar shell goodness, grilling, and beer!

God bless this great nation, I will always appreciate the guts and sacrifice it took to build it.

It's my first Fourth being retired...

I wanna smoke something and go shoot but I can't go to the police range anymore and we just got back from the beach so no meat has been thawed or purchased....

maybe we will have burgers instead and I can try some Famous Grouse

If nothing else...pick up a pack of "Bubba Burgers" and flip onto the grill...the watch fireworks at a local venue (that's my plans)...Famous Grouse sound good Smile
