RCA to HDMI converter help Login/Join

I found a TV sound bar I like but it has a wired subwoofer with a single RCA plug. I don’t want the cable hanging down the wall. I have an existing HDMI cable already behind the wall which I would like to use. I found RCA HDMI converters but they all have the standard white/red/yellow connectors. I will need a converter on both ends of the HDMI. I will go RCA to HDMI back to RCA. Will I have issues trying to use the single RCA plug on a converter with the 3 plugs?

You can't get there from here. (gender changing the HDMI and RCA)

You need powered analog/digital media converter box on each end.

The "RCA" cable is a mono low frequency analog audio signal.
HDMI is designed for digital audio/video and not analog signal.

(each type cable designed for the required impedance and signal)

You would end up with more crap behind the TV.

Is the existing HDMI in the wall capable of being used to "pull" the mono cable through? If so, pull the mono and a "pull string", keep secure the string ends so you can later pull anything else you might need. (unless the HDMI was strapped/stapled)

If it is a short and straight run, a length of stiff wire can be used as a "fish tape".

I have pulled a brazillion miles of all manner of cables and wires and stuff through walls and aircraft.

The single HDMI cable originally installed behind the wall failed. I tried to use the old wire as a pull but failed. I ended up cutting a hole in the drywall and ran 4 HDMI cables figuring I should be good for another 20 yrs. I found the cable took a 90 degree turn through a double stud. There is no way to pull more cables without more holes.

Get a soundbar with a wireless sub, that's what I did, works perfectly. There are several options for that setup, just find one that works with yours.

Please don't waste time and money on a subwoofer without integration with the soundbar. You need one way to configure the sound quality (treble / mid / bass) and the relative volume levels for bar vs. module.
