FdanHow to prepare or season a new grill for use?
Just got a new natural gas grill installed today with stainless steel grids. What is the best way to prepare it for first usage tomorrow?

Skins2881Cheeseburgers.
Wash grates, cook 80/20. Done. No need to season SS grill.

jimmy123xGet it up to 500-600F and keep it there for 20-30 minutes to cook off any production coatings, assembly or protectant stuff on it or crap on the metals, then bring it down to whatever temperature you grill with and cook on it.

This, but I like using a spray oil to coat the grates before I cook... Gives me those nice char-marks on whatever Im tossing on the grill!
