Dealing with something like this is so badass. My MOS dealt with explosives, and I get a small vicarious adrenaline rush just thinking about approaching something like this. Being associated with EOD makes for exciting work days. Those guys doing it in Europe must have one helluva retirement party when someone makes it that far. Pieces of the mine? To me it appears the blast is just from the Navy-set initiation charge and none of the mine itself.
