If it was plastic it broke or removed itself from the car.
Condenser and radiator are broken. Washer fluid reservoir self deleted too.
The fans were shattered against the exhaust.

I left the car after I high tailed it outta there.
My buddy Bob and I got it home just now.
Lemme get the photos.

I called the DNR. They took care of the bear.
It was howling on the side of the road.

One of the reasons I carry is if something like this happens I can dispatch the animal with minimal suffering. Iv'e done two deer this way neither one hit by me but by someone directly in front of me.

I'm looking at $500 or so to fix it myself.
Maybe $600.

Sorry about your ride. Rough day for the bear as well

State of FL has no bear hunting season and down here it’s so warm in the winter they don’t hibernate. Hit By Car is pretty much the population control for them sadly.

Just out of curiosity what would have been any potential legal problems for you if you had euthanised it on the side of the road before cops or tow truck arrived ?

Nope, I called the DNR Wildlife and told them I hit a small bear.
Gave them the location and a ranger went out, tracked it and put it down.

And I drove the car until the gauge rose and I parked it.
Called my wife to come get me and I drove my 400,000 mile Honda to work.
Took it home myself after work.
