OK I smacked Bambi pretty good, but didn't kill her, she trotted off.
But it splattered the bumper.
I ordered a bumper cover and FIANLY got around to preparing and painting it.

And I refinished out the headlights while I was at it.

I'm gonna spray another car's parts tomorrow. I'll have a cameraman then...

What was the process you used to refinish the headlights? What did you spray them with?

Did that several years back, driving a truck we displayed at a car show. Guy that was supposed to pick it up with an enclosed trailer decided he didn’t want to spend hours waiting in line to get into Cobo Hall so he called my ex boss. I got stuck driving it and caught Bambi with the corner of the fender. No sheet metal damage but took the grille, headlight, bumper and the custom air dam, total came to around 3k. Ex supervisor tried to hang me with the deductible, I told him “Sure, just take it out of my last check”. He backed off.

Mine ran off too. Just outside of the Milford Proving Grounds.

Sanded with progressively finer papers.
400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000.
Then shot it with Euroclear Universal Clear, slow. With 20% hardener and UV inhibit.

Now if only we can get the deer to cross at the deer crossing sign locations the world would be a better place.
