What's my best option for passing remote signals to multiple devices inside a closed media cabinet? Trying to get my folk's setup in a new house and the media cabinet has an older repeater setup that I cannot make work for the life of me. Figure at this point might be easiest to start from scratch with a new setup.

Thanks in advance.

A lot of the older IR repeaters pick up interference from modern LCDs, which is easy to diagnose as it will light up when the display is on as if it were receiving an IR signal from a remote. You can either upgrade the receiver or entire IR package, or go with a universal remote control that has an RF base station to relay IR commands to the hidden gear. Post pics or model numbers if you want more support, good luck.

Forgot to add, if the receiver is picking up interference from the display, try putting the receiver at the top of the back of the display facing upwards or even towards the rear wall, it sometimes works by minimizing the interference from the display and the IR signals bounce off walls and ceiling decently more often than not.

Appreciate it. I’m traveling the next couple days but may be able to run by on Wednesday night and get some pics/model numbers.

I use this BAFX repeater kit in my camper. Allows me to control radio/CD player volume, stations, and tracks from outside. Comes with 1 receiver and 8 emitters but can be expanded to 3 receivers and 12 emitters. About $25 at AMAZON. Been a good unit with a very wide angle of acceptance for the receivers.
