I think he's really gonna like it!

Similar to what my older son and I did over Christmas. His is the clear case. Only a couple of games for now since we haven’t found cartridges for the ones he wants to download.

Now he’ll just need to weather to break so he can work on building the arcade cabinet for it.

I *can* download them. All of them. Might be the same resource. In fact, we did dl a couple of game ROMs we currently own and used the web interface to drag and drop.

I don’t want my son thinking it’s okay to do it without ownership, though.

I remember a post in the last year or so about a handheld system. I searched but can't find it.
Looking for an affordable portable for my 9yr-old.

You modify an old Game Boy Color or Advance.
They're not inexpensive to buy completed.
But not expensive for all the components.
