The Goddamned Communist MOTHERFUCKERS in the UC Berkeley administration strong armed the students of The Berkeley Patriot into withdrawing their sponsorship.

For example, the UC Berkeley Chancellor overtly threatened students who put up posters with a HATE CRIME investigation.

Thus, FREE SPEECH WEEK will not go forward as planned, though there will be an unsanctioned event tomorrow. It should be lively.

Berkley is a joke, but you can't tell me the cancellation of this event came as any sort of surprise. The concept of the first amendment and free speech is completely dead on that campus.

30 years ago, UCB, despite all of it's idiot social accommodations, still contributed to scientific advancements.

I haven't been paying attention but is UCB still a viable contributor to scientific achievements? Or is it a dead institution?

All I know is that, in my college years, they were accepting a large number of affirmative action applicants. It may be been one thing if they were actually smart. But these are people I knew that scored less than 1000 on the SAT (more like around 800-900). I scored almost as high just on my math score alone (720 or 760? I forgot, somewhere in that range). That was such a turn off for me that I went elsewhere. Best decision of my life.

^^ Lawrence Livermoore and Sproul Plaza have always been two different things. You can make the mistake of thinking that Berkeley is only Sproul Plaza and some weird affirmative action programs, or you can get into it and find the parts of Cal that provide the penumbra of intellectual excellence that the politically correct keep trying to exploit. The idiots make the news; you actually have to go looking to see what else is happening on or in connection with that campus.

(And yeah, if anybody doubts me - GO LOOK IT UP. It's not my job to accommodate lazy people, and that way you'll get it from the horse's mouth.)
