Fishing. Hunting deer with a compound bow, and crossbow (I also hunt them with firearms but bowhunting is my favorite). Cutting, splitting and hauling firewood (and giving it away to friends). Boating.

I like to cook and do most of it.

Enjoy getting a single table and taking 15-20 mainly S&W & Colt revolvers 3 or 4 times a year. Especially like Louisville's National Gun Day shows and haven't missed a half dozen in over 20 years.

Am a long time car, truck, boat, tractor trader. I buy what I like and flip it when something shinier comes along.

enjoy investing and the stockmarket. Bought 8 shares on Eli Lilly when I was 14 in 1965. Still have it now 1100+ shares @ $350 per sh. Time and div reinvestment is so important yet so many don't understand.

Dog lover, always have a couple or 3 and sometimes foster. Got a great pair right now, smart and playful in their prime of life.

Have gotten back into baseball the last few years. University of Louisville has a fine coach in Dan McDonald and he sends a lot of kids to mlb. I enjoy watching them (Will Smith C Dodgers Wink) and am a Reds fan regardless how bad. Philles is my team for 2023, love the way Trea Turner plays the game and Harper has matured. Fun team

famous locally for my homegrown tomatoes. If you ever want to score brownie points a peck of vine ripe Better Boys works better than a $100 bill.

Don't care much about travel. Maintained 2 houses from 1986 til 2016 and now am happy to stay home. Do miss Lake Okeechobee in Feb, Mar fishing.

Love being retired and the luxury of good health. Smile

Now at 73 my hobbies are jeeping, hiking and trout fishing. Back in my younger days I was into martial arts, scuba diving, racing sailboats(J-24 and Flying Scot) hiking and salt water fishing. Pistol shooting and trap are a given.

Stress (?), Fishing, water sports, reading, Ice Hockey (playing), cars, and my new favorite of-all-time, finding time to do absolutely nothing (de-stress...).

Although, "Besides guns"? Really?

A couple, but not enough to get me thru retirement: Camping, hunting, hiking, starting bike riding and model railroading. Used to golf but I can't follow the ball anymore.

My train set scale is Z Gauge.

I miss Auto-X, always keeping an eye out for a fun car.
Found a very clean NB Shinsen semi-local, mighty tempting.
Would love a ND2, but not in the current budget.

@ugeesta

That's quite a layout! I'm guessing from the plexiglass roadbed and the finished plywood that there are no plans for structures or scenery?

Can that be run as one continuous loop?

I was in the Wood Workers Source store in Tucson, 3441 S Palo Verde Road, a couple of years ago and the back corner was full of wood carvers from the SW Wood Carvers They just use it as a place to meet informally and carve and the store is nice enough to provide them space.

I think you may be close by.

When I wandered in I was surprised to see a group of about 8 people carving wood, over in a corner, having a great time. I introduced myself and greatly enjoyed talking with them.

I don't know if they still meet there, or what days/hours, but you might find them a great resource for your wood carving. You could probably phone the wood worker store and inquire about the club members who meet there to carve.

I do a little bit of wood carving, but I am not an artist at it. Some of those folks are amazingly talented artists.

Correct. I suck at landscaping so I went with the basic look. I am building a second set for my German trains that I am going to try to landscape.

There are four circuits on the table that run in a continuous loop. Two that run on the table and two that take the elevated section.

Too bad we aren't closer, landscaping/scenery/structures is my favorite part. That's why I backed away from railroading and went with dioramas.

^^^^ There are some amazing artists out there when it comes to modeling scenery. My brother is an architect and he has that modeling touch. I know what I want to do, just can’t transfer my thoughts to my fingers….

I’ll try with this new layout but my expectations are low

I have started to get more involved in BBQ, but my wife and I have developed a real love of touring in our slingshot. We spend more time every summer travelling, and have done much of Western Canada and the Western and Central US over the past 6 years.
