He was not a patient there or with a patient there for surgery; he simply ran into the facility in an effort to avoid arrest.

Two medical workers at the facility interfered with ICE agents in an attempt to prevent the arrest. They were unsuccessful in their efforts and the illegal alien was arrested.

Both of these assholes have now been charged federally, and arrested.

I'm posting this separately because it is significant that these two people were arrested and charged, and also because it is so satisfying to see people like this paying for their behavior. You can bet your bottom dollar that these two high-profile arrests will have an impact on the decisions of many of those who choose to get in the way. Enough is enough.

Yes, examples need to be made. Convict them of the felony, sentence them to the maximum, and then suspend the sentence while making them report the conviction to their state Board. Their licenses will be suspended or yanked and the taxpayers won’t be on the hook for their incarceration UNLESS they can’t keep their noses clean. In that case, lock them up for the full sentence.

I can understand….maybe trying to maintain patient privacy during a medical exam or the cleanliness of a surgical suite, but those excuses go out the window if some rando barges in, particularly an illegal immigrant. All they had to do is point the officers in the direction of the perp and be on their merry way.

I hope they are charged, tried and convicted.

Nothing new. What I hated was the cell phone in the face, being used as an intimidation’weapon.’ I couldn’t care less about being videoed, but sticking it anywhere within arm’s reach was a BIG no no.

Hindering arrest in Texas is/was(law may have changed since I retired) a misdemeanor if the charge is a misdemeanor, and a felony for a felony. In addition to those arrests, interference with public duties was not an unusual arrest. People, in their infinite wisdom, demand to be arrested sometimes. Reality hits them on their way to the station in cuffs, seatbelted in the backseat of a unit.

Crazy stupid, the level of their stupidity is really breathtaking. Democrats, instead of thinking more pragmatically and figuring out how to gain back support from moderates and Independent voters, are going whole hog into the deep depths of absurdity and moronic behavior and decisions, going against the thinking of 80% of America. And people like these medical professionals fall for this shit hook line and sinker, and they keep doing it.

But I have an idea. Instead of charging the general public to feed and cloth them, how about yanking their professional licenses and letting them earn it back. As long as their offenses are non violent, have them attend classes and pass a battery of tests all pertaining to the US Constitution and criminal justice. I’m sure the cost would be less, and when it’s over, they will at least be educated enough to make better choices in the future.

Throw the Book at them, and if they survive a few years in prison, keep them away from Medicine. Hopefully, they will recidivise (is that a word?) in a few years and be back in the slammer.

This is the way it should be handled from now on. Interfere with law enforcement agents, you get arrested and charged as well. That will put a stop to this non-sense behaviors. It is about time we get serious in enforcing our laws.

In this case, it was easy to identify the offenders, because they were employees of the facility. When this interference occurs on a street or other public location, it is sometimes difficult or impossible to identify the offenders unless they are apprehended on the spot.

I'm very fine with this. You made a choice as to which side is morally right - someone who broke the law versus people who are carrying out the law. The lesson needs to be painful.
