Ordered the Stelo, after going round with my ins carrier, they only cover it for Type 1, bummer, same for Medicare that I will enroll in soon.

Will see how it goes, there are also discounts with Freestyle, some company help, some possible discounting with GoodRx but they are still pricey.

Stello is $90 for a month, which is fine for a test/trial run.

The wife's company which has our insurance is changing to a new carrier this fall, so we will see if they have a different attitude towards CGM's for Type 2...

It sucks that most insurance won’t cover the CGMs for type II.
I've dealt with this long enough to know what food is going to do to me so I alternate wearing one for 2 weeks and not wearing one for the next 2 weeks.

This really nails it for me. I can get by just fine between metformin and knowing what to eat/avoid.. wearing a CGM keeps me honest. It is sort of an "in your face dose of reality". I can’t help but make better choices when I am wearing one because I can’t lie to myself.

I agree, you would think they would want people getting healthy and possibly off medications, reducing risks of heart disease, HBP, diabetic type 2, guess they are like many who just say "eat less exercise more" that don't comprehend that some bodies, even in good physical shape don't handle foods the same way as someone without health issues.
