Additional bitch... two weeks ago, waiting for a tool to finish a job on a Friday, shipping says it's coming. Never shows. That night I look online and it says it was delivered. BS! Say "package handed directly to resident." (since I'm the only resident, it sure as F' wasn't.) But I guess this is their umbrella excuse, then they don't need to show a photo of it sitting in the middle of my front steps for anyone to steal.

On Monday I got my mail, and it was in the mailbox. So either the driver is full of shit, he thinks the mailbox is a person, or he gave it to someone at the wrong address and they dropped it off.

Which reminds me of the one where the "delivered" photo was of the boxes sitting on the seat of their truck. In reality they left them roadside by my mailbox and trash cans.

They just slapped a shipping label sticker on each tire.

It's very rare that I see tires packaged in anything. It's usually only when they're mounted on wheels that they're shipped in boxes. Sometimes, they're wrapped in heavy duty plastic wrap. The few times they've been in boxes (sans wheels) were a disaster, as the boxes were trashed due to the tires being round.

Arguably the best way to do it economically and one is really not going to hurt them. That was the most recent set of tires I have had shipped. The 3 or 4 other times were from Discount Tire and Tire Rack, they had two thick pieces of cardboard cut the the diameter of the tire and had one on each side with a ton of shrink wrap around them.

This is similar to what happened to me recently. Supposed to be here for a job scheduled but tools didn't arrive as scheduled even though it was indicating out of delivery until that evening. Then suddenly, it was attempted but not delivered. And then I had to go pick it up at a distribution center 3 days later. I had to buy tools needed for the weekend separately.

Yes I’ve been through the “delivery attempted“ nonsense excuse myself while waiting for important parts. Where I was not only home all day but literally outside in the driveway for 14 hours.

Several years ago, Rainier Arms shipped me a complete upper in a box of course, but outside it, they scribbled the detailed content. Needless to say, I was not pleased and let them know.
