Yes, definitely slipping into conspiracy.

This may be a day late and a dollar short, but well deserved.

its all a wasted effort as no one is going to pay the price

and yes, Teddy's been sober for 2940 days...well, other than being a bit pickled when they put his fat carcass in the ground

it would have been nice to see a Kennedy brought to justice, but democrats seem to skate on everything

Like someone else posted, kind of a wasted effort since nobody really gives a shit about the Kennedy's anymore. Nobody talks about Bobby, and the rest of the kids, grandkids are bunch of nobodies. JFK is really not the benchmark anymore as far as Democratic politics, since they have gone to the far left in recent history, thanks to Barry. Maybe 10 years ago, but not now.

The Clintons, in a way, have taken the "mantel" away from the Kennedys, as far being the elitist, corrupt dynasty in this country.

I like this clip and play it occasionally because it's great. But it applies to Teddy and to the rest of the Kennedys.

Seems there have been a number of books, articles, commentary with credible allegations re the Kennedy men being philanderers/womanizers; also grossly dishonest, starting with the original Joe Kennedy. Most of the family fortune was gained illegally.

IIRC, a Kennedy housekeeper commented that before Chappaquiddick she rarely saw Joan (Ted's first wife) with an alcoholic drink. After Chapp, she rarely saw Joan without a drink. Other commentary makes it quite clear this was not just an employer taking a staffer home after a company get-together, the Kennedy account was a coverup of something much dirtier.

Also IIRC, Nancy Sinatra once made a comment (seemingly documented) that her father was connected with the mob helping swing the Illinois vote to JFK, a few days later she retracted the stmt, "on the advice of my father's attorneys".

I do believe we move on after this life, and that Ted has, or will have to, account for his actions (and I guess all of us will have to the same).

You are likely correct, but the Clinton's don't have the glamor of the Kennedy Clan. Somehow I have wondered if the Obama's will follow the Kennedy-Clinton trend.

It won't. The leftists have moved so far beyond the Kennedy clan that most don't even know who they were anymore.

remember in 2008 Ted Kennedy endorsed Obama over Clinton. That was a major break through for Obama. Rumors were that Obama promised to push healthcare if Kennedy supported him

New Kennedy tape shows frustration with Clintons, health bid

Jimmy Carter said that he's still pissed that Teddy shot down the hopes that JC would get healthcare through the senate while Jimmy was in office.
In an interview with 60 Minutes Correspondent Lesley Stahl, Mr. Carter accuses Kennedy, a longtime champion of health care reform, of impeding it for decades. The former president believes Kennedy's actions to kill Mr. Carter's own health care bill made the country wait for more than 30 years for sweeping reforms.

Everyone knew at the time Ted was guilty as sin but, money talked and that was the end of it.

I have always felt that John and Robert are dead because as the saying goes you "don't bite the hand that feeds you" and we all know they were dead after the mob and swore to put them out of business.

No one is going to care about this movie. Not because it won't be a multi million dollar blockbuster, not because it will get no press and have no ad budget, not because it's an almost fifty year old story, but because most people have never even heard of it. I've had friends, smart and fairly informed people who had never heard of it until I brought it up. History doesn't need to be rewritten, just conveniently forgotten.

Besides, the average movie going dullard will be busy watching "Fast and Furious Transformers XXV." Wink

When has a movie ever accurately depicted an event in history?

Reality is too boring, and nowhere near entertaining enough, to fill seats in a movie theater.

The movie out just now about Churchill is “a dramatization based on historic events.” IOW, mostly fiction.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

The death of Saint Mary Jo* coincided with the moon landing in 1969. I was in Holland when both events were the big news, but the moon trumped the worthless asshole Teddy.

Later in the POS's life it was said; Kennedy Math - Ted Kennedy - minus pants - plus Scotch - equals PARTY

Soon after Ted's long overdue demise someone remarked: "He wasn't worth anyone even wasting a $.30 bullet on him!"

I hope he likes his "waitress sandwich" in HELL.

*She was canonized due to the miracle she performed: keeping Teddy out of the White House

Much less speculation required for Chappaquidick than Monroe.
