| My wife stopped buying fruitcakes for me a few years ago. I guess she got tired of hearing me exclaim "BEST SURVIVAL FOOD EVAR!!" when I opened the package. But, the stuff is shelf-stable and calorie-dense, so, I did have a point. Johnny Carson had a theory that there was really only one fruitcake in the entire world, and people just kept re-gifting the thing, passing it around endlessly.

| In my travels around the country THIS place was one of my favorites: https://gtpie.com/The Grand Traverse Pie Company. Although I recall it was the Evansville IN location, that I was turned onto them at. I'll let the Michigan people tell me if there is better that I never knew of.
