Went in to get 15 items w/ 4 sku's today ,

walked right by all 13 of the open registers an self check outs.
each had more than a dozen people waiting in line.

got in the line with two people in it at the
customer service counter and was out in 7 minutes . Razz

that two years of college finally paid off

I buy all my motor oil at Walmart. I enter through the auto service area, grab want I need, pay at the auto service counter, and depart. Never have to deal with parking or people issues.

I usually hit the ammo counter last and checkout there.

Try that at my store, and you'll get stuck behind the one auto clerk for 28 minutes that is giving tire quotes to some mouth breather that doesn't even know what size tire size they need, or what year car they drive for that matter.

I was smarter than ALL the Walmart shoppers today. I didn't go to one.

What's worse, if you go in for oil and their out of what you need (very common). If the guy is not at the counter, you are stuck until he comes back to "buzz" the door open or you walk around the whole fricken store to exit the front and walk back to your vehicle.

Had a coworker that used to proclaimed "If you can't get it at Walmart you probably don't need it". He advised going at 3:00 AM. He worked 2nd shift.

Went a couple years ago on Black Friday to get something for my niece. Grabbed it, went to the ammo counter, picked up a couple hundred rounds and was out the door in 10 minutes. Must have walked by at least 300 people waiting in line to check out.

Whether its broken or has been removed, my store doesn't have a 'buzz' lock door. You can just walk in and out through it.

I just can't do Wal-Mart anymore, my wife and I go to Target or Fred Meyer. I just can't handle Wal-Mart, so terrible.

I haven't been to a WalMart in over 15 years. Don't intend on ever setting foot in one again.

I’ve used the various tricks listed above to get out of standing in a line to check out, where possible. My favorite is the 7am shopping trip. Hell, Walmart is the “good” store around here. We drive 150 miles round trip to get to our nearby one. And it’s a pretty sorry excuse for a Walmart. It always appears to have been recently sacked by our neighbors from sunny Mexico, and it doesn’t have a register or exit from the automotive supply department-they don’t do any auto service at that store. Which is probably smart.

And I’ve never seen a Walmart with 13 checkout lanes open. That’s now on my bucket list.

I think that bendable counted each self-service register as a checkout lane.

In that case, 13 is believable. Some Walmarts in this area have more than 13 self-service registers. Some are usually closed for maintenance, but most of the time, at least 20% of them work.

Holy cow, where do you live, Montana? There are three Walmart's within 15 minutes of my house, yet I haven't bought anything in one in probably a decade.

Sometimes when you go there, afterwards you fell like you should go home and take a shower.
