Congratulations. Enjoy it.

When my wife retired from nursing, she was able to quit her blood pressure meds, and stop eating Zantac.

When I retired from the dept of corrections, I quit smoking, then all my damn pants shrank.

Congratulations.

I have four more months until I do the same. Currently on my "farewell tour" of my clients and the last remaining projects.

Enjoy!

Thank you all for the congrats and words of encouragement……I will be concentrating on my fly fishing techniques which I started last year…there’s a definite learning curve! It certainly recharges my batteries even though there’s a fine line between “fishing” and standing in a river like an idiot….yes, sometimes I feel like the latter Big Grin
To those still working the streets….stay safe my Brothers!

Enjoy your retirement you have earned it! I missed my coworkers but time lessened the void. My retirement was a bit different I had an duty related injury that ended my career 9 years early.

Well it sounds like it's just the right time to invest in a small ,a medium and large chainsaws.
Then an Easton made axis EZ log splitter.

Do you have room for six or 10 cords of split wood ?

Wouldnt the large chain saw take care of all the cutting and I could avoid the small and medium models….or is there a hidden benefit to having the small and medium experience chainsaw envy? Inquiring minds and all Big Grin

I have plenty of room for chords of wood….any more than 10 chord and I will get myself a woodchuck Cool

One of the two will be a spare.
To use when the great big one either gets dull, runs out of chain oil or gas or when it gets pinched halfway through a tree.
And the smallest one is for limbing the neighbors blown down tree prior to bucking it in too 16 inch lengths.

Chainsaws like backs ,legs and arms like a rest period.
Use a full tank in one, set it aside, and use another saw.

When all three are empty
Check all the chains and bar oil levels gas'em up and start again.

After four hours of dancing with MS monster saw the others will feel like a subway sandwich.

You have a pickup right?
